What's sadder is...

I am currently on Bloodfin, Corellia. I am a novice WS with Firearms 1 and Techniques 3. I am grinding out Techniques 4 using projectile barrels (use lots of steel). This resource rotation, we got a huge cross section of steel. There are 4-5 that are on the Master WS gun creation list.

...right now I am grinding ton's to get my next box. A month from now, I am probably going to be kicking myself for not saving more of this.

So I went resource hunting a couple of days ago, took 20k and went to every known planet in the entire system looking for: Colat Iron, Thoranium Steel, Polysteel Copper, Ditanium Steel, and Crism Silistatic ore. And I found......Nada! I got off the ship survey'd and couldn't find any of these resources on any of the planets. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, I assumed if it wasn't on the survey device list it wasn't on the planet??

Anyway I'm based out of Naboo on Lowca server if anyone is willing to let the secret out where you get these resources.

Resource gated? this sound right? sorry I don't surf the boards much and I can't tell if something's broke of if I'm doing something wrong, heh I mostly just assume stuff's broke easier that way

I am MBH/MCM, xxx3 pistols, xx2x Medic (for +10 Healing Eff), with a 1045 dmg pistol, 1.45 spd, 520 ish dps (when dmg pup'd) and I am struggling against Jedi marks.

This could be entirely due to my current armor (composite, only 3.1k energy resist, and a 2k energy PSG), or bad tactics, or something else I simply don't know about. I'd like to think it's because the people I have fought have just happened to be good at PvP (I know this is true for a few of them), but I've even caught people off guard with no doc buffs and it hasn't really helped.

I am doing all the usual things - paralyze, thyroid rupture, electro drain - using root to try and keep distance, burst running where I can, etc. Typically all of the fights I've walked into I've gone in with doc buffs, spice, verseputti (sp?) and crispic - around 4.2k health. I've even been dropping Pyro during the fight for +212 ranged accuracy.

But, I haven't won a fight yet. I've technically incapped someone but they had AI so it didn't really count.

Where am I going wrong?

(On the plus side, all of the people I have faced have been perfectly amicable in victory save one who insisted on triple incapping me and not even saying a word in response to "nice fight".. *shrug*)

I've been thinking of changing to MBM, MPistols, CM 4000 as I think I have a pretty decent pistol.

Definitely invest in some high energy resist armor. Bide your time and wait til the Jedi is at a disadvantage before you make your move.

Your definate weakness is your armor. With 3k energy resist on your current, when you get armor broken you are prolly going down in 2 to 3 hits. I have max health bonus RIS with 8100 energy resists. You may also want to get the 75% AB reduction slice as well. BH these days is ALL about your equipment.

I had thought that it was probably my armor that was the weak spot, but thanks for confirming it.
