Puts me in an awkward position, mind you i can hunt my competitors

why not give bounty hunters the ability to hunt other profesions besides jedi. a way everyone could gain vis. In the movies the bh didnt want anything to do with jedi not just in trilogy the prequeles. Most bounty hunters either worked on catching criminals or worked for criminels. The only bh intrested in hunting jedi is aura sing and she was a formal jedi.
I would agree that it's something that would be a good thing. I would also agree that it would need to be voluntary. There are just some out there who do not wish to PvP. That is their choice. They pay their $15 a month and don't wnat to get involved in the stress and nonsense that PvP can cause.
I have also been playing with the idea of players being able to ISSUE bounties....
Seems bloody cool to me. Of course it would need careful building into the SWG system: I was thinking of boundaries like:
- Restricting who can place bounties: for example: master politcians or guild leaders only (as they are supposed to be power figures)
- High financial cost, of which only part goes to the actual BH (for example 200K to issue a bounty, of which 100K is pay-out to the BH)
- Rewarding Marks if they survive: for example "looting" half of the BH mission payout from the dead BH (assuming the BH received half of his pay-out as an advance payment)
- Repercussion for the Bounty Issuer: for example if the BH fails, the guy that put the bounty on the terms, gets on the general terms himself or gets hunted by NPC BH or authorities (high level).
- Restricting players that can be hunted: for example to only people that tick off that they want to be "PvP involved"
- Restricting number of bounties anyone can place at a time (or in total during certain timeframe).

Bad idea try again.

Now how about if they allowed entertainers to hire "Bodyguards" to defend them from BHs? You could form a special group with a single person who can attack anyone who attacks you. Not only would this settle the problem of BHs overwhelming non-combat profs, but open up a whole new level of roleplay and content...and if you are an entertainer of such prominence to get a contract, shouldn't you have a bodyguard?
And since Rangers are becoming thieves, maybe they could steal musicians equipment, so musicians would be given the ability to hire "Roadies" to protect their gear.

Are these able to be obtained from a terminal for a fee of credits and be lvl 110-300 NPCS? if not no thanks.

should get vis from pvp kills/factional NPC kills. smugglers also should from an ACTUAL smuggling system implemented. so Ashle, if your entertainer goes out and slays 20 rebs then yeah, ent hunting fine.
And armorsmiths should get vis from selling factional armor. It goes both ways hun.
difference between selling armour and killing players "hun"
