Thread: Pistol or Rifle?

I'm pretty sure rifle is better, but the question is how much better is it? I really don't like rifles and prefer a pistol template. How much weaker will a pistol template be, if at all?

Rifle = high damage, slower speed, usualy higher SAC


Pistol = lower damage, faster speed, usualy lower SAC


I'd probably go with the rifle just for the higher accuracy, but when hunting jedi all you really need is a good kinetic wepon to bypass psgs the rest is just using healing and stateshots wisely.

I prefer Pistols... the SAC is lower, and I can use "quick draw" allmost as my default attack.....


I don't do the damage of a rifle, but I can fire more shots... and since Jedi block a percentage of the attacks... I figure more attacks = better...

With the belt nerf, more and more jedi are wearing PSGs, scatters = kinetic, so somethign else to think about.

ive done 3 different templates: all with caped tapes, uber armro and near caped weapons.


all the following have MBH/MCM


0400 carbs


moderate damage, snare is usefull. hard to keep em there if they start to loose.


4000 rifles


good acc, high damage. same problem as carbs


0004 pistols.


root is awsome,


1. to stop running


2. root, run, regen mind and continue to kill your mark


20+ jedi knights with MCM/MBH, 0004 pistols...all ran or died, i have yet to loose. this includes experienced pre CU knights with near perfect sabers and just about every bonus you can get, mind buff crystals, valor etc.
