Thread: Me vs. the 222k bounty

Ok, so it's been a little while since I've logged in and played my bounty hunter. But tonight I was bored so i figured i would give it a go.
First my temp....MBH, Master Carbs, 3-0-0-1 CM.
I started the night of as usual pulling missions out of Kardarra. And though the first seven of them were 'due to the unusually high life signs....' I got my first bounty. Talus.
I figuredI would find an AFKer in a closed cantina, but I figured what the hell, I'll go there. Well I got within 120m of my target and he was off like a shot. On his bike high-tailing it back to the city. Which he made it to.
So the usual hate tells start up - why are you hunting me....why is an imp hunting an imp.....etc. etc. (I told him I normally don't, but hey, he's the first one NOT on Kash.)
Anyway he doesn't want to come out. So his Pistol/MCM challenges me to a duel. I'm bored and I wanted to check out the new heals so i accepted. Sure enough, paralyze, disease, fire, poison, electo drain ensue..... The new heals had absolutely no problems keeping up with the damage. Anyway, the duel continues with pistol boy running around buildings so i can't see him when his mind gets low. Mine never drops below 3/4 the whole fight. This continues with him running for 20mins everytime he gets low until he finally knocks me down, uses a daze so i can't get up, and finishes me off.....
So where does the 222k bounty fit in? I figure what the heck, these heals are good, why not see what I do against a (close-to) full temp. I pull a 222ker and surprise surprise! Tattoine! Well this time he is in a house, but, he comes outside and starts saying...well, lets go....
I pop a Quickie Swirl. My only buff.... and it begins.
Now, I'm a MBH/MC a ranged guy. So I stay ranged. I time my attacks based upon what he is doing to me. He attacks using a stasis (Ok so now I know he's Master ench). And walks up to me. First attack was armor break. Fine - my first counter was underhand, which missed so i hit charged shot - which landed. He's down and I put the drain on him. And move away. At this point I'm in constant motion. Working Scatter shot, leg hit, critical shot, and throwing in an occasional underhand and snare to keep him slow. I do see aura kicking off, so I know there is defender in his temp, plus he has infusion and some pretty good heals of his own so I'm assuming the 3-x-x-x healer and the rest into Sabers.
He likes using the statis. Uses it to regen his action/mind while I stand there. Get this though - my mind/action is regening as well. Plus I found out something else - you CAN use stims under statis. (though not Doc/CM heals).
To make a long story short, what ensues is a 40min bout going back and forth. He starts using statis and FR to get away and channel/meditate. So I know he's down on force. I continue to be relentless, working the heals - keeping my distance, countering his snares/roots/statis with KDs and my own snares...keeping constant eyes on my action/mind bar. If they got low I went 'defensive' shoting only the KDs and Snares (no power attacks)
40 mins this fight continues (I know since I took 2 additional kwickie swirls during the fight and mine are on 15min timers). Until finally he runs me through some 81 cannibal dewbacks and two ag on me. Well, after all that, with the dewbacks pounding me, in addition to him, I finally went down....
But with the lessons learned.... We CAN stand up to the Master Templates. Though it won't be a 1 button KD, it will be a 15round fight of attrition. Oh...and to watch the /con on the radar to see what he's running me through. The new heals are INSANE. Bacta Shot was like 1100, the ranged bacta was like 800-900, and then I had stims on top of those.
Now I haven't gone up against MLS/Mdef, but I'm hoping my tactics will work with them. The ranged KD could be more of a problem....
My /salute to Mave for one of the best solo BH missions I've had yet.

went up against a MLS MDef in my guild, I'm a MBH, MCarb, 4000CM and in two duels I did not hit him once. Not one single time and I have 225 carb accuracy.

thats low ACC but you still should have hit him more since this is a game

Went after a full template jedi. (Also a guy that I hate. N he hates me) Mostly cause I dont want to be called a coward for going after low lvl padawans.
I go to the wp to find ( or in this case not find) this jedi with force cloak on. While 2 other jedi were attacking a lair. I wait a bit. off in a safe dinstance. He drops force cloak to get a ride to their next mission. They get out. I get rdy to go for the kill. He force cloaks again. Its like that for 5 mins till he logs out force cloaked.
N its not like Im mad at him for using force cloak. Im mad cause he boasts about how oh his guild is so strong. Their jedis are so uber. How he could solo anything. How he can talk alot of trash yet not back it up. He's the leader of his guild so trying to deal with this in a peaceful manner isnt going to happen.
He is one of those people that give jedi a bad name.
For note. My main is a padawan still grinding and I willfully fight any bh that comes for me. Rather die with some shred of honor than talk big and then dont back it up.

I ran a 222k out of force, probably because he tried Avoid Incap.

hehe big mistake on his part. avoid incap is a real stupid PvP move vs a single enemy. AI is for going down in a blaze of glory in a group battle or tanking high end PvE
