Last night I log on in Kaadara and immediately grab a 98k mission (I'm not a MBH yet and actually haven't had any success against Jedi). So I launch my droid and find out that he's on Dant. I head over there quickly, (I'm excited because it's the first mission I pick up where the Jedi isn't on Kash), and launch my seekers. They find him about 1.5k outside of MO. As I approch, I see a group of Jedi, and to the right of the group I see two of them running! One of them was my mark, who I chased. At one point he tried to swim across a narrow river. I got in range and rooted him in the middle, but it didn't hold long enough to get an incap, and he was off. Soon he had his speeder and was gone. I followed him for about 10-15 minutes, telling him that this could all be over if he agreed to pay off the bounty. He didn't. Eventually, as luck/bad luck would have it, I had RL issues to deal with. I told him I was leaving and he could continue grinding. When I came back, I found him in a safe house. I started getting tells from his friends. Not hate tells, just trying to goad me into fighting full temp jedi. Eventually I got bored and said I as going to go back to Kaadara and get a new mission. So I went back, and decided to launch one more droid after him. I quickly flew back to Dant to see if he was still in the safe house. He was back out and grinding. So I once again approached and found my mark. Once again he took off.

Instead of chasing him, I decided just to launch more droids and track him while I sat and chatted with his group. I told them that I didn't want to interupt their time, I just wanted either a fight or the money for the bounty. One weaker jedi came up and told me to get his mission and try and get win. I got all kinds of duel requests. The group got upset that I was wasting their time. I told them that all I wanted was to fight my mark, and that the sooner they gave him up (other members of the group had hauled him off in their speeder), the sooner they would be back at grinding. funny enough, he just happened to show up a minute later, ready to fight. It was a fair fight, although he unexpectedly used his pistol instead of saber. After a good clean fight I was incapped and dbed. I told him good fight and recieved all kinds of nice tells from his friends saying i handled it well and with respect.

So I went on hunting other jedi. I got a 100k mission that turned out to be a full temp jedi that owned the S out of me. Then I found that younger jedi on the terms. I told his group to watch out because there might be BHs coming for him. They thanked me for the warning. After a while of searching, I couldn't find a mission that suited my skill level. So After about an hour, I was forced to take that younger jedi's mission when it came up again.

He was still on Dant. And this time when I approached, instead of running, he walked up to me face to face. I said "I'm sorry to waste your groups time." I then KDed him, rooted, got some distance, and head shot, body shot...etc. The duel went on a couple minutes. It was great! Then, after a little bit of neck and neck fighting, I incaped him. His group tried to haul him off by inviting him into their speeders and taking off once he regain strength. I ended up triple incapping him and then DBed him. It was an awesome feeling. He was rezed and came up and said "Good job, how about a duel just for fun." I agreed and we both said no db. Well, this time around I was much more lax about it and was incapped and DBed. Iwasn't too mad about it, after all I didn't lose any xp over it, but then his friends started saying all kinds of stuff in spatial about how I was a dirty hunter for returning to the same group and stuff like that. Oh well, killing jedi is a great feeling. Certainly beats npcs.

nice story, but two things:

100k jedi is not a full template. a 100k jedi has 100 sp in jedi, less than half.

3 incaps and then a db is not right. triple incaps bypasses the db, making an insta-corpse.

He prolly mean that the 100k jedi was CL80.

The 100k jedi, while I was fighting him, just went nuts and all of a sudden my health bar dropped like crazy! I asked him afterwards what he used because it worked me over. He said that earlier in the fight he had force run on, and when it's on your damage is severly limited. He said, "I didn't use anything special, I'm a full temp." I was shocked because of the payoff amount, and I told him that he was 100k on the terms. He figured either a bug or just a really old mission on him. /shrug

very good hunt, and as you go along youll get better at what you do, its such a good feeling when your hunting a jedi even if you loose, just the fact that you actually tracked him and got him to fight.

According to your sig you dont appear to be a Master BH so you hunting time will sadly be over soon

yeah, I'm not too far off from invest 4, and I only need 10k xp of rifles more, and I only need about 3k combat xp for master, so I'm in good shape. Just one dedicated day of grinding will more than do it.

question for the OP:
Did this mark use a saber, or some other weapon

it is possible he is a 'finished template' in the sense he is a hybrid of some type. there are a few rifleman/defender types out there.

the 100k could have been a full temp
EDIT explanation....if a knight is killed they're put back on the terms at 25k, and 25k is added increasingly to their mission every (some amount of time) until they're back up to their actual level.

Yes, and if memory serves correctly it was a double bladed, if that matters.
