Its all personal preference, but i think you'll want more healing than medic. First, make sure you get two elite profs, be it MBH with MasterPistols/Carbs/Rifles whatever. Thats a must really, so you have a combat lvl of 80. I would go with carbs or rifles, and some CM cause medic healin aint enough. I personally have master pistols, and that probably isnt the best because of the range (34m range being right in saber throw range). But i like pistols, so screw them. Cyber arms have helped me out with the range a bit.
If youve just returned you should have some respec time, so play around and see what works best for you. Its all preference. Ive never picked a template based on what may be the best, I chose what i like, hence being BH/Pistoleer since i started.
