As for any advice, use your specials and kd. When you get the mark on the ground, use your special that has the highest avg damage output. Also rotate your specials so you're not always waiting for the same timer to finish the cooldown.
Also IMO, the investigation grind wasnt that bad (and no I am not a respec). If you want to see bad, check out the FS or jedi grind.

First off, you dont need 5 adk's. You only need 3; head, chest, legs. The rest is not worn down fast enough to really make it worth it unless you're hunting in RIS or something. Also check your armor condition, I have a feeling that one or more pieces are hovering around 0 which is why you are taking so much damage. But as far as the resists, they arent great but they are not bad either.

Yea I hear you. There are quite a few pieces of my armor that is at 0, but still it's crazy how tough these elite marks seem. I really need some ADK's I guess but I want to finish getting master bounty hunter first before I do anything else. It's kinda pointless to shell out alot of cash for a good set of armor if it will just decay. Wouldn't it be better to buy 3 ADK's first? What do you guys do?

What I would suggest is grinding armor. On my server you can get a set of recon with 7k energy for about 400-500k. That set of armor with a repair kit to repair your armor when condition gets to a little below 50%. You can usually repair a few times before it breaks. Wait on the ADKs and 8k resist armor until your temp is complete and you have the cash.

I got another question:
My template is: BH 3444, Master Carbineer, CM 4000 and I am grinding to get MBH, but once I hit it I will be changing my template to: MBH, Master Combat Medic, and either Carb 0400, Rifles 4000, or Pistols 0004. Not sure which way I'm going yet but I was going to choose a template that will let me use recon armor. Which route should I take that will let me use recon armor without any hinderance/mitigation, etc? Can I use recon armor while being a master combat medic? Should I go with carbs, pistols or rifles with my mbh, mcm template?
Thanks.
i posted a similar question last week regarding fighting the elite marks. I was unable to bet any of them and was taking a ton of damage everytime. I was are a cl70 or so at the time. I am now a cl79 and can take both the elite and boss marks down everytime. I did learn a few thinks that made me a better hunter, but i think there is something to this other than skills, weapons, and stuff. I noticed that as long as i only took mission at the same difficult level as my cl level i was always ok. Even if i got an elite mark i was able to survive and take them out. Now that i am a cl79 i started to take higher level missions than my cl and i can make it through them. for some reason, they are no longer doing more than a max of 400 damage per hit, where last week they were doing 600 to 800 per hit, although in both cases they were about 3 levels above me.
This is only a thoery and i am sure other will say i am full of crap, but i think that as long as you are still in the low 70s, the elite marks hit you harder than when you get into the higher 70s. That is at least the experience i had. So i would suggest grind the rest of your other skills to try to get your cl up a little more or only take missions at your cl level or lower until you get around cl77 or higher. For some reason, at that point i started to win. Before that, i got smoked becuase of the higher damage.
Just a theory
Take a look at this link for some tips on elite marks. ![]()

I'm taking the elites down without problems and without a big outlay of money. I'm currently MBM MCM Carbs 0400. I have a set of reb battle armour with both resists about 6200. I bought it when the new faction armours first came out and it's still going strong. u gotta remember to keep your armour repaired as much as possible. if the condition of any piece is 0 then it's not offerening any protection at all basically.
I am having the toughest time just taking on single white chevron marks. (Elites?) I can get them down to about half health but by then I'm out of mind from healing so much. They seem to be doing 600-1000k damage on me per hit. My carbine is a EII Carbine Mk2 and the dmg is 438-961 , 1.5 speed with a 94 SAC.
The Sac is way too high on your carb. I use a nice krayted elite carbine 1041 max damage and a a pup taking the sacdown to about 62. This coupled with just blob candy, canape and a +17 healing eff shirt means i can spam specials and heals all day long and not run out of mind or action. As well as your armour make sure you regularly repair your gun, as the condition decreases on your weapon so does it's efficiency. I let my elite carb get down to about 150 condition one time and its damage output had decreased to about 75%
I use foods such as blob candy, kanali wafers, snow cakes, pikatta pie and booster blue. I also get complete doc buffs before I go hunt but I don't stand a chance. The only thing that concerns me is the armor I'm wearing. It's a run down set of composite armor (assault armor) and has a 6000+ kinetc resist, but a 4000 energy resist on it.
Go for battle, 1.5 mil can buy you a really good set of factional battle armour with decent resists on kinetic and energy.
It's also worn down pretty bad because I don't have ADK kits on the armor. I can't afford to shell out 10-12mil a pop for ADK's for all my armor. It's just ridiculous to spend that much money on them. I only have 2 mill right now and I've been saving and saving for that. I don't want to spend the money on getting good armor when I don't have ADK's yet. I would like atleast 5 ADK kits for my armor pieces. That's over 50 mil just for the ADK's not including buying good armor.
Don't waste money ADKing armour, get the absolute best weapon money can buy and adk that. Or just keep it repaired. I now repair my stuffeach day weapons and armour. Ive had my carb about 3 months and even with a pup fittedand playing everyday it's still about 75% of its maximum condition
Any tips or advice on killing these elites? Is it just because of my armor??
When hunting elites don't bother with anything fancy, no blind or dizzy they don't make any difference. With MBH and carbs 0400 I get 2 good high damage specials adv crit and leg shot. When i get to the mark i use underhand to knock him down, apply thyroid rupture to slow his action down and then alternate crit and leg. If he's a fast regener I apply a couple of CM dots and torso shot to stop him regening. With a low sac weapon and blob candy and canape you can blast and heal away and not worry about your action/mind. I alos have duelist running on a macro bcause i'm forgetful. Might be worth buying a combat droid to tank for you if you're getting a lot of damage still
Using these tactics I've never had a fight go above 1 minute, even the double gold 33k'ers except one which was some super freaky tutti di cappo tutti boss which I now belive to bea krayt dragon masquerading as a mercenary general or 2 lvl 89 black sun elite midgets standing on each others shoulders and dual weilding.
