well you could jam PvE bases, this was easier when they were solo-able pre-cu though, 1000 xp a pop... how much xp do you gain now per mission? if its 500 then there is no use, just grind it out it wont take THAT long =)

Just plow through it. It's painful, but you'll get there. I just finished I4 last night and was very happy to be done. Now it's just 240k more Combat XP and I'm Master BH. :>

Tricks?

Get all xp you can while you have only investigation 0 (you cap at 10k). Make this xp in a good area (keren cantina is sweet : terminal/spynet/shuttle in 50m)
Then, get droids and get missions. The highest cl possible.

If the mission levels are low, get a few CL from the other BH branchs. You can get around 500 xp per mission, which is much more than when i made BH first. It's pretty quick, the only tip will be to say "don't do too much missions in a row if you don't want to lose control"

This is all the tricks i can give you. Be patient.... And don't try to make it too fast.

I am grinding this right now myself. It's not too bad as you can get OVER 500 pts per mission.

1) make sure you have your xp inspiration buff. I know this is a no brainer but some people forget all about it. 10% xp bonus here.

2) get some xp food called Ormachek (sp). This will give you a 5% xp boost on each mission. Trick here....this food actually sucks for anything BUT investigation.......it has sky high stomach fill (mid 80's) and only lasts for like 20 seconds. Get your mark down to almost dead....have the Ormachek in your hot key......just before your ready to kill him/her eat the Ormachek...then dice him off within 20 seconds.

If your quick on missions or get lucky to have a close one then you won't be able to take the Ormachek again on the next mission....your stomach fill will be too high. But even on every other mission using this adds up.

I found the uplink jam to be the fastest way, but here is the catch.

Leave EVERYTHING you love and cherish in your house. Because you must be prepared to die quite a bit.

1. Buff up.
2. /burstrun into base
3. /tar upl
4. Get to it and start jamming.
5. Die

It helps to have a bit of doc to heal your wounds when done. If the base has turrets, you cannot get in. If it has turrets of the large variety, just let it go.

Be prepared for 3/5 bases you suicide mission to already be jammed by another grinding BH.

Come to think of it, the missions may have been easier, but I found this part to be a blast.

You know that scene, the one where Marlon Brando did that little hand wave right before he died. Yeah. That was beautiful man.

PvE bases must be vulnerable to destruction for the terminals to show up as active. IE the one hour daily timer. You must have investigation II. You must be overt.

I would suggest finding a guild with some pve bases of the opposing faction. Or buy and place a couple bases of your own. This can be a good way to generate XP, faction XP, BH XP. All these are useful.

Also just fyi for old school investigation grinders. Never take a mark on endor or Lok. Just get another mission.

I completely understand your comment about Endor, but Lok caught me off guard. Did you mean Yavin 4, Endor and Dathomir where there are no player cities to shuttle around? I did a few on lok yesterday and they were cake.

1 PVE bases are vulnerable 24/7 days a week, best time is at server reset to avoid presliced bases.
2 Combatant is all you need(unless it is PVP Spec Force Base)
3 Spec Force bases are 3 hour vuln every 3 days

I got my first ranged elite mastery before I even started investigation in BH. I also had x433 in BH. Higher CL missions=more cash more xp. So in addition to what others suggest pump up that CL.

As many BH have suggested rack all the investigation XP you can before you train. That way your marks will be on the same planet and you don't have to use droids. I believe you can sock away 10k then train the first two boxes. That will putyou well into thethird box.

EXPLOIT. Dying/feigning death in a base while slicing a terminal can/will get your experience taken away, the base reset back to non-attack state, and your account suspended. If you get caught....

I have a base bomb, and have seen this happen first hand.....

If you are going to slice the BH terminal only in the base do this:

Get a Jedi healer friend to run into the base before you do, and aggro everything in the place. Have them run out while with the horde of npcs. Then you run in and hit /tar uplink This will target the terminal you need. Find it (it's a random location for every base), access it via the "Jam Uplink" option on the radial, then run out. Have your Jedi either Force Run away to lose aggro, have a bike ready 150m from the base, or take an incap.

You should not have any agro, and the npcs will NOT deathblow the Jedi.

The other way ground out the experience was in the Coronet square between the cantina and the medical center. There is a BH terminal, and a SpyNet Operative within 25m of each other. If you stand between them, you can access the mission terminal, grab a mission and then talk to the SpyNet for the mission waypoint. Only take missions within about 1500 from your location. And as above, DO NOT TRAIN when you are ready for level 1xxx. You can "cap out" enough experience at xxxx to train both 1xxx and 2xxx at the same time. The reason for this, is because once you train 1xxx, your marks are on a different planet, and require more time/money in droids. This way, get it done as fast as possible. For 3xxx and 4xxx, there is no "fast" way to do it. You can either grind it out, or you can slice base uplink terminals. Either way will take about the same amount of time imo.

I have seen people state they "think" this should be considered an exploit, but never this "IS" an exploit. Just in case I have forwarded this on to Tiggs. If it is an official exploit, then sure, I am guilty. I would argue the time I spent finding bases, taking out turrets and suicide bombing is nothing short of a selfless act in the GCW. I had no intention of exploiting anything. If this is an "official" exploit, I surely want to avoid passing along this information to new BHs in the future. In no case did I not make an attempt to get out. Honestly, I think I only made a successful exit 3 times.

Also, I fail to see how this is any different from what you have described. By taking in a Jedi to tank you are somehow bypassing the endgame of jamming the terminal uplink with no intention of blowing up the base? It seems you have a very thin line upon which you can justify the same ends. In any case, I am going to attempt to get an official word on this.
