Thread: What is the difference between the 17k ham and 33k Ham BOSS marks?

So I had a marathon NPC hunting session on sunday thanks to my dog waking me at the crack of dawn.
Over the course of too many hours I only fought 3 BOSS marks with the double gold chevrons.
2 were 17k ham and 1 was 30k ham.
The 30k Ham one dropped a nice +19 1hand weapon speed CA (well nice if fencer's werent as rare as NS bracers).. but the other 2 dropped crap.
my question:
Are the 17k Ham "BOSS" marks .. really BOSS marks? or just incorrectly tagged "Elites"?
am I getting the possibilty of "BOSS" level loot with only half the battle?

same, as much chance as getting loot on any of them. Normally get better loot on Non boss so far. Boss are cheap, damn jar of bugs all the time lol .

I seem to always get 3 items from the gold chevron dudes - might be 3 x crap but always 3 items

A similar situation is the 7k "elite" mark which I occasionally get as well. It seems to me that the lower HAM marks tend to drop fewer items, therefore the chances of getting something good are less. I don't have a very large number of marks to base this on though...

About 16k HAM. 
Okay...that was terrible. 
If it is 33k gold chevs, I usually get multiple pieces of different loot.

The high ham marks don't generally drop good loot. Every now and then you find one with killer loot but most of the time the 17k ham marks drop the sweet loot. Also high ham marks tend to be pissed off eaier than lower ham marks. High end marks, in my experience tend to attack anything that moves even beore you start attacking. Its always nice when a level 83 33k ham mark agros some Nightsisters before we fight. I pop a few shots off and let the nightsisters do most of the damage.

i've done about 250 bh missions since the patch and i have never encountered a mark higher than level 82.
