Thread: Thanks to all BH from a Jedi

Got hit again last night as a modest padawan. Killed one BH slime and barely got away (very close) from another. Had a blast, just want to say to all you BH keep up the good work, hunt the jedi to extinction for a few credits profit, show no mercy, employ every sneaky tactic you can. Content you guys add to game is priceless.

I sincerely hope that's not a sarcastic comment.
I've always felt that Bounty Hunters and Jedi were somewhat symbiotic where content is concerned.

depends who get more content of it. The one who chooses the content, or the one who becomes the content

jedi don't become the content silly. They choose to be eventually hunted the moment they start grinding village quests for the purpose of becoming a jedi.

There is a mechanic in place that affords control over that - it's called visibility.

as a "modest padawan" you have a good record, so either you are stronger then you let on or your attackers don't know what they are doing. No matter if you intended or didn't intend sarcasm, I think you are going to be putting off quite a few players with your remarks.

Sarcasm? LOL. You are all too jaded by the jedi who post here often. They are mostly people who feel powerless and post flames when they are 1000 miles away and anonymous. The normal jedi (who dont complain on forums cause they have nothing to complain about) I know on Gorath love a good fight from a thug trying to kill him. Just wanted to thank because even though Im a jedi, (no respec, playing since 2nd day so Ive earned it. ... and yes I spent 3 hours rolling a chance cube so I could get the right combo and unlock jedi....) I was worried about tons of sabers flashing around everywhere. Ruins continuity. So now that I see my jedi friends, even the full templated ones, scared to show themselves and see jedi no quite out in the open anymore, just wanted to salute you all.
Maybee there is a good side to having tons of respec BH. Keeps jedi hidden.
No, I am modest. Im CL 68, but I do have a trick up my sleeve that allows me to escape.......

I think the issue with respec BHs is pretty much over now. The only thing it did was make it quicker to be able to hunt jedi, and for a period perhaps they're were more BHs than would have been if there wasn't respec. But by now, anyone that respeced to BH and got their but kicked, has reground something else, or (gasp) just doesn't hunt jedi.
If there is anything or anyone to blame for more BHs now than in the past it is
- The Template strength of MBH
- The devs/soe for making it like that
- The players for becoming jedi (more rabbits= more wolves)
- The devs/soe for not putting a bottleneck on jedi
While I haven't been playing as long as you have, I have been playing for over a year and a half (I know.... didn't even know forums existed for the longest time). I slowly ground my way to Jedi. I did not power grind jedi until the last leg (damn i been doing it forever, lol). And the last tree power grinding took me as long as any other tree that I did casually, thanks to devs changing exchange rates on med xp.
So I understand what yo mean...... when I first started playing there were rumors of Jedi... until I finaly saw one. On that day, I picked up Nov BH. At the time I was still in awe of Smuggler and how it worked, lol. Since then I have had BH in my template in one shape or form.
I didn't always hunt jedi..... I was a Pistol Stacker for a while, MPistol / BH 0040 / Smug 0040 / Nov Commando / Nov TK.
And then all of a sudden, before curb.... there were more and more Jedi, everywhere. So.... when curb hit.... I respecced the last box of Investigations (was already working on it (again)when curb hit. Ever since then, I've been hunting Jedi.
I've mostly hunted with the Template MBH / MPist / Carb 0440.... and been somewhat successfull, but with my unlocking of jedi on that toon, the Carb 0440 will be getting replaced by Powers 0400. I'll still be hunting jedi. For as long as I can stand it..... then I'll only have my alt to hunt jedi (MBH / MCM, c'mon.... after doing so well with my non-healing template.... i'm entitled to have an FOTM)

i take it the BH who didn't kill the padawan are not real experienced. When I attack a paddy they usually go down in about 3 shots and in about 10 secs. Its thos full temps that take longer. Paddys are just a good "snack" before the main course

wait a minute. Jedi are BOUNTY HUNTER content. not the other way around. Jedi dont really have any content. No frs. well, full temp jedi i should say. because once u hit full temp, theres nothing to do. most jedi go on their alt and do stuff.

you did silly. They both choose the content and they both become the content but you said only one does each. So by default you meant that jedi become content (in the way that they have no choice) since that is the logical misconseptionbecause the fact that its the bh's choice is much more obvious.

Bounty hunters are content for full temp jedi, Especially those CM/Bhs.. yum
