Thread: Jedi / BH balanced?
One thing I would like to see is a little more flexibility with a Bountyhunter. For starters:
- Each disipline within BH should have the appropriate cert and enhancements to armor and not be issolated to Assualt Armor. They should be diverse in the art of war.
- Tactical missions involving the ability to "hire" players to group up for a true "elite" mark.
Not much to ask for here.
As for Jedi, there's only a few things they need besides the reintroduction of the Force Ranking System (rumors of the Jedi Council being reformed?):
- New certifications for lightsabers to be gained through quests which allow for different application of abilities.
- Randomly hunted by NPC Bountyhunters.
- Reintroduction of the SaberTEF while using force in a NPC city. Jedi should be targetable in Imperial cities when they activate ANY force ability. This is in dire need !!
- Alternate death penalty - increase force cost for 3-4 hours, or more, per death. This will encourage engagement whlie increasing the risk.(this hurts more then you could know)
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to finishing my NON-Jedi NON-ForceSensitivetemplate. Jedi are gimped something fierce right now. There's alot of immaturity throughout this game which does not rest solely on Jedi nor Bountyhunters.
My greatest dissapointment is that a Master Bountyhunter does NOT have any certification abilities to be applied to amor other then Assualt armor. This is just plain LAME and is the w34k sauce!!!

After many fixes and much ranting it appears that there's been a stalemate in the latest round of complaints. For the record, I play a Jedi as my main character which had progressed from a WS/SMuggler to later a WS/swordman then on to a WS/Rifleman and I've been actively involved in opposite sides of the issues which had been addressed previously.
The Bountyhunter profession needed more immersion into the game other then through the sole goal of hunting a Jedi. Not all players have the skill level that's required to hunt a Jedi let alone to defeat one. Moving the ability to hunt Jedi to Master while increase "Bosses" to be hunted which include great rewards is something that should have been aeons ago.
Post CU Jedi havea massive defecientcy with lightsaber componets. The "UBER 1337" pearls are no longer available and the goal of a Jedi is more in lines with crafting "the ultimate weapon" then the grind its self ("...we are keepers of the peace, not warriors.") I do NOT have perfect tunes in my saber and the lowest is 93/93 -5 and yet even through this lesser quality tune I still find the system working nicely. The problem is when these Jedi attempt to compete with their peers is where the problem manifests.

Adding more certs would make BH even more of the FOTM ranged profession to have. I get the impression that's not really what BH's want.

YEs, you and I are just a few who have voiced it over and over again that exp loss needs to be overhauled and the loss should be more tangible. Not being able to "grind" or engage in the GCW from a death is more important then loosing exp. Ths sad thing is how this is not recieving the same attention in the GCW forums. Placing a fc modifier to a JEdi upon death has so many benefits tied to it. Every side of the war, including Jedi, would benefit from this.
