I picked up a very expensive HLR, 2.71 553-1064 84 SAC with a tier 2 damage slice already applied, I'm not sure if I should try for a tier 3 damage slice or if that would be a waste, I definately want a speed slice for sure.

You can apply a tier 3 damage, and a tier 1 slice. That will give 85% customization, which means nothing else is sliceable on it.

Yeah, but problem is, slicing cap seems to be 916 on a Scatter when the actual max dmg cap is 948, so I don't really know the slicing cap on rifles is.

Well, if it's no longer sliceable it won't let you slice it. And I think the crafting cap on an HLR is 1146, so you should be able to get that last slice in, it's gonna come in around 1087, which should be under the slicing cap.

i see the stats you posted, but i dont see the stats for what should qualify as a "very expensive gun"

Bad news, had it tier 3 damage sliced and it got reduced to 454-990.

Definately bug it. There is no reason that should have happened.

Unfortunately it's one of the best I can find on the server, quality of weapons is rather very lacking since so many WS ignore SAC on weapons and I often go for lower SAC and this HLR was one of the better ones and it didn't come cheaply. Now after this stupid tier 3 slice that stated it recieved an 8% damage slice increase actually got decreased. I filed a ticket about this.
