Anyone else have some missions where you are tracking down your mark then suddenly you get a message, "mission incomplete" and the mission is auto aborted for you?

I've had this happen a few times and it seems to happen when the mark runs through a LARGE area of water and is swimming for a while. It's always out far from a town, and usually when I am close to getting to the mark. I have noticed a few times that The last waypoint right before the mission was in a large body of water.

Is there another reason for this to happen, any ideas?

Havent done many bountys lately but plan now that i have a stockage of droids to grind it out. I accepted a lvl 2 invest mission only to run all the way to rori to get within 500 meters of my target (was heading him off running to a starport that slick guy he is hehe ) , when i got close i get "mission incomplete?" I know its a bug, but does it happen every mission ?

Theres probably a thread already on this so apologize for the spam. Anyone enlighten me plz?

This JUST happened to me and I came here looking for answers. Super annoying to say the least.

Only happened to me once as well. Mark was in the middle of a lake, the wp had just been updated and was insight. Mark was atleast 4000 meters away from the maps edge.

I saw my first one of these tonite. On Yavin IV, i was closing to within 1000m, he was just outside the outpost and I got there 5 minutes after the droid gave me the location so I doubt it was a planet hop. I was running towards the wp and got the message right out of the blue. Travel to Yavin IV is 3300 each way ...

I just tried my first Invest 2 mission and was 600m from the last update and I get a mission incomplete. Did I do something wrong?

No. Nothing you can do about that.

Was the mark in water?

You will get a mission incomplete if you get too close to the mark, and they are in a lake or ocean. Never heard of one deleting when that far, but there is a first time for everything.

I was hunting my prey and when I knew I wes close I received a Mission Incomplete message and the mission in my datapad was gone. What happened? This was my second lvl2 bounty and I don't know if he got away or this is a bug. Thanks for the help.

He was too far out into the water and drowned (he didn't really drown but it happens when they spawn in water, because they know you won't be able to attack them).

Makes sense... My last droid marked him in the middle of a lake. Thanks for the quick answer.
