Thread: Bounty hunter armor snare gun

I would like to see an armor attachment to bounty hunter arm armor. Like in the movie you aim it at a Jedi where upon it shoots a massive rope net entagling the Jedi knocking them down unable to move or attack for one minute. You could of course make it usable once a day.

I was gonna say overpowered, but then again concussion shot. . . .

For one minute? Hmm I think that would be overpowered. Maybe as a knockdown if sucessfull with a nice snare effect when they KD recover..

i like ideas like this cuz i've been wishing for cool BH gadgets since the day i became a BH a long time ago. it doesn't need to be overpowered or anything and maybe it should have a long regen timer or something but it would be cool.

Not to rain on your parade, but I have two points to make:


1) A minute is a long time in a fight. PvP, that ought to be more than enough time to kill most anyone who couldn't respond.


2) Watch that scene in Return of the Jedi again, and see how effective Boba Fett's lasso thingy was against Luke.


Anti-personnel traps/snares would be cool, though, and ought to have been included. (especially back in the day when you had to be a Master Scout to be a bounty hunter).

I think it could be implemented in the right way. I am thinking 10 seconds would be reasonable, a minute is just ridiculous. They it be a bh mission loot drop component that you could have an armorsmith build into your armor.

Ya, that'd be pretty cool. But maybe 15 seconds.

I also think that we should be able to use traps. But Not just for BHers, Why not make it so that Ranger traps work on players and npcs, but allow a few other professions to also use traps, maybe switch our prerequisite from exploration over to trapping, but make it so that Rangers are the only ones that cancraft. This way the get a way to make money from making and selling traps and their profession is a little more viable for to fight npcs.

I like that the required scout tree is exploration. Anytime I've had explore4 and given it up to try something new on a toon i've severly missed the TN.

I personally would be willing to drop some combat medic and pick up the trap line if we could use traps on jedi.
