Thread: Ok Im almost a master bounty hunter i have a few questions.

what is more effective as a bouny hunter, pistols, or carbines? I like pistols and carbines both, I'm hearing that they are working on the use of two pistols at once, what do u experienced BH's in the game suggest?

i started as pistols in januray and with my first respec switched to carbs and had more success killing jedi but i decided to go rifles and used my final respec to go to rifles.i love it.

Whatever you enjoy more 
If you want to powergame, go carbines. Pistols really can't match the damage output of a carbine. If you want to have fun, choose whichever one will make you happy.

with the new cells/scopes/etc dropping from the BH npcs, id have to say pistols are starting to come much closer to the damage output of rifles/carbines.
bottom line is, it's different tactics. pistols are generally faster - i've always had pistols in my template, since day 1 - so i guess im a bit biased towards them.

He's right..whatever makes you feel good is the way to go.. there is no wrong weapon choice..it's all personal style.. but speaking as a carbineer.. I would recommend going Mcarbs and at the very least 0003 pistols.. or 0404 pistols.. since you will get nice general ranged accuracy bonuses as well as defense bonuses from those two pistol trees.. I was a master rifle at one time too. It is alot of fun as well. nice power cover and conceal shot are fun.. but downside it the most powerful special in the game requires you to be prone. Fine against BH NPC marks.. not so good against jedi and PVE critters. I prefer carbines for speed moderate range and very nice damage output. I love my proton carbine... with Mcarbs MBH and a full speed slice im over 600 DPS.. not bad for a free weapon eh?
