Thread: Does this seem right?

Just got Droid Engineer tonight (just call me a late bloomer). The thing is that I used over 8k worth of metal, all from harvesters (That is not counting what I sampled and is certainly not counting the chemicals I used) to get from Engineering IV to Novice Droid Engineer. Did I take the scenic rout, or is this just about right? Seemed a bit long for me, but then again it seemed a bit long from Music IV to Novice Musician.

Ok, im stalking this jedi. Iv been on him for a while. i cover up to him, take my snipershot, knockdown and startleshot him for a 2nd sniper while he is KDed startled and almost dead.. and he cloaks. Thru kd startle and being next to 5 people he managed to get it off.

So many jedi have whined and whined about BH's, it's time to give something back to BH's and get rid of the jedi ability to cloak DURING combat. I can understand cloaking while not in combat or just before it but cloaking while a jedi is almost dead is ridiculous. It basically means you have to kill jedi in intial alpha strike before he can get his cloak off, or it's a waste of time.
I say get rid of the cloaking ability while in combat.

nah, just increase the recharge time on it, mabe cost too. This guy would do choke lightning and recloke. But what im really trying to ascertain is should you be able to use cloke while you are knocked down and disabled(disarm/startle)?

Better get used to it. I've been a BH since publ 9. The only thing jedi are good at is exploits and cheats.
I mean BIG deal if you get DBd as jedi...jusr re-grind those damn xp. But instead thye go thru amazing amouts of cheats/exploits to save thier precious xp.
So, the devs gave them cloak to get rid of all this exploiting with log on/log off cheat, force meditate cheat, the FD exploit, the Kashyyyk LOS cheat, the househiding, the friendly /duel DB cheat, the LS overpower cheat, etc, etc...
Too bad jedi still dont want to behave honorable and run/exploit/cheat thier way outta combat. And when they hit full temp - they brag they so badass and /duel everyone outside an SP 24-7.
Cloaking is just a way for the devs to try to get the jedi players to cheat/exploit less, and use a legitime way of escaping combat, since they sux at PvP and dont want to learn it the right way.
So, you better get used to it.

Well, now you know he has Powers x4xx and can plan your next attack strategy to incorporate that information. Dont attack if he doesnt have anything around him or get in fast.
But to clarify, was he able to cloak while startled or did the startle effect wear off before he cloaked?

You better dont generalize that way. I dont say all BHs are exploiters, either, although some use the walk off trail to avoid aggro trick, used double-sliced weapons, still are using CM abilities to attack a cloaked Jedi and so on. Its always the player behind the toon, not all the players in a certain profession.

force cloak is legit. if you gusy played super return of the jedi you woudl know you get force vanish and you can use it while in combat
