Thread: Funny Thing Happened

So I head to Talus, Imp fortress last night to go back on active duty. For some reason when pub 20 when in effect, it took me off active duty so I could not wear my faction armor. So I go to the recruiter and get back on active duty so I can hide my BH armor. I head back over to the shuttleport and I notice one of thos black dots on teh ground indicating a cloaked jedi. He was standing against the wall in a spot probably where no many would notice. So I decide to have some fun with him. I start running circles around him, then through him. I stop and turn my toon and look at him. He takes a couple steps back and tries to sink further into the wall. So I wondered " Do jedi know that you can see this black dot when they are cloaked??" My opinion, I don't think so. I again run up and run a few circles around him. Finally I stop turn to him and in spaital say "Hell Jedi....what are you doing hiding?" He immediately sends me a tell and says "You got my mission and tracked me here didin't you. You must be a BH." So I thought again....do jedi know you can see the black dot? I quickly corrected this jedi and said "Do you think if I had your mission I would walk up and tap you on the shoulder like I basically did." He says "I don't trust you, you are a BH." I tell him "If I was a BH and if I had your mission, you would be half dead before you even knew what hit you." Well, he suddenly came uncloaked loaded some buffs thinking I was the big bad BH that had come from him. Once he saw that I couldn't attack he went and slaughtered all the NPC stormtroopers.
Can you say paranoia?? Wonder how many times he has been killed? LOL

a) Most Jedi do know that others can see the their shadow on the ground at a certain graphics setting, even if they are cloaked.
b) I want to point out that the Jedi did not "/duel" the Bounty Hunter.
c) Yes, Jedi who were grinding avoiding visibility have a lot of antennas out there to detect BHs. If you come within 256m of me and didnt use /cover to get that far, I will know you are there, will have done a "/target" on you and more than likely also an "/exam" before you are within 128m of me.

Good obersvation on your letter b. He surely didn't do that or he would have known he wasn't my mark earlier.
I always crawl under cover from at least 200m out. The advantage isn't any good if you don't use it.

If you're grinding, all it takes is a moment's distraction (or a bit of client-side lag) for a BH to get within weapons range.

If you're grinding, all it takes is a moment's distraction (or a bit of client-side lag) for a BH to get within weapons range.
Didnt happen to me so far. When I was solo-grinding and avoiding visibility I always had my saber put away, was holding my Adv. Laser Rifle and continueing killing the critter with aggro on me before any dot reached 128m.
