Hey chaps,
Whats the difference/benfits between carbine/pistol/rifle now? still the same as it always was, I can seem to see one now - other than action points and damage

RIFLES
range=65 m
range=65 m
speed=slowest
damage=highest
CARBINES
range=50 m
speed=moderate
damage=decent
PISTOLS
range=35m
speed=very fast
damage=moderately low...can be enhanced with krayt tissues though

In my opinion Carbines are the best to go. I can out damage rifles anyday because I shoot so much faster then them.
1 shot with rifle takes just as long with 3 shots with Carbine
on a level 81 kimo:
rifle 1 shot-720 damage
carbine 3 shots-around 2k damage
I got almsot the samespeed with rifles as master rifleman, but I do have 0.95 modified speed on my carbine.

Here's the question then....what kind of carbine for jedi? The rifle I use is a Heavy Lightning with Krayt tissue. Not clide....yet. I have a proton carbine, sliced 100% for speed. Thoughts? Advanced alser instead?

Proton doesn't need speed slice if you put pup on it. I have mine sliced: tier 3 damage tier 1 speed. With this carbine I have 821 dps (modified). At the speed I can shoot along with this damage it will always do more damage over time then any rifle. Kyrat e11 and elites do well too, as long as they have hit their max for damage, have nice speed, and have low SAC.
