Thread: I'm hearing rumors of something ABOVE the MBH box on the horizon. Anyone have any info?

Rumors are like Bothans. Everybody knows at least one and they all stink.
There's been alot of talk about adding more Jedi-class professions. Personally I would LOVE to see such a thing happen. Give everyone who has a Jedi a free /respec out to that profession so they can trade whatever Jedi boxes they have for boxes in the new alpha class and I'd be a happy kid.
1) People who hate seeing Jedi "all over the place" will be happier, as there would be fewer Jedi.
2) People who felt forced to become Jedi to compete in PVP would be happier as they'd have a choice.
3) Jedi who just wanna be unique will be happier since there are fewer of them.
It would be great if it is so, but this has been shoot down numerous times before.
However SoE usually does add 'end game' stuff like this look at history in other games - EQ had AA points raised lvl limit etc. They better do sum'n, I have not gone out for xp for well over a year, I have ZERO interest in being a jedi, it is geting old to watch an alpha class rule above all that I have no interest in being. If I wanted to run around with a lightstick, I have hundreads of other games to play.
I'll hope. It'd be kind of nice if it's a Jedi-like system. People have proposed "Hero" classes. It'll work, just as long as the Jedi ruleset (Bounties,XP Loss, Skillpoint Values, et al) is followed.
Would give people the ability to be as powerful as a Jedi with all the penalties.

A friend of mine told me that elite profs above our elite master boxes are on the horizon, so that people who don't want to become Jedi can still advance.
Does anyone have any info on this?

i have info on this.... they discussed it at fan fest...
they said elite professions was an interesting idea, like dual weilding, but they had no plans to implement it anytime soon.

if u will have the new classes follow the same rules as jeid it might as well be jedi whats the difference? not being called a jedi?
Because I have no desire, in SWG, to be associated with the name "Jedi."
Jedi are power-hungry elitists who think that they are, and should be, better than everyone else. They are murderous criminals whose only resemblance to Jedi as seen in Lucas's universe is the saber; the resemblance is the same as the resemblance between a bank robber and a policeman--they both carry a gun.
Yah right. In an MMORPG how do you want to gate skills? I'm sure Lucas' idea of Jedi training didn't involve slaughtering thousands of creatures. In an MMORPG however, how else do you gate it?
I guess as a BH you don't see yourself as a power hungry elitist, but you chose a profession that specifically requires you to kill another character and hurt that character's developement. Hmmm, sounds like you are like the kid on the beach kicking over other kids sand castles. Typical PK mindset.
Now get off your high horse and realize it's a game your playing, and thatjust as many BH as Jedi are jerks.
