Thread: Old BH's and Respec BH's

This is not a flame (like my old deleted post lol) But its kind of like a poll I'm wondering how many of you "real" old BH's (ones who have been through multiple Jedi/Bh Systems) Are really hating this publish 20. And how many of you new Respec BH's are hating it. I ask because the New system apart from the no payout and no names is basically the same as before CU. As i am meaning the "no group visbility". I see some posts saying the Jedi wont be on the terms anymore but do any of you old BH's remeber when jedi could hunt solo so they would only get visbility if they werent smart. Isnt this how the new visibility will work except for those 7 people they will have to stay covered from any NPC's or non gorup members of 32m like in the old times. So if you are truly and older BH post and say how you feel about it. And if your a respec tell me your story.

i only hate it cuz we don't get the name, just makes it a little harder really. besides i'm really @nal about my jedi kill records and always record the FULL name of the player i kill and its going to be a little difficult to do now. i'll have to do a screenie right away or something.

im a respec noob and i am NOT liking this publish...new BH won't be able to practice on lower jedi somewhere in their range, theres no guarantee you won't end up grabbing your friends mission by mistake....Skilled BH might end up taking the little 60k ones and getting to a target they can 3 shot kill....Thumbs down mesays.

Ok but i asked more on the visiblity issue not so much the names and payout although i dont see why thats to much fo a problem. The name can be a bi*ch but so what hunt him for the hunt. If you get a full template and die go for a new mission tracking is not to hard (i have a bounty hunter and i hunted 220k-226k before Publish 19 heal nerf). but yea im asking mroe on how yuou feel about the visibility issue

Oh the vis issue? The group vis thing is kind of cool I guess cuz in "real life" star wars if the jedi was with friends, the friends wouldn't go around blabbing on him. but in reality all its going to do is encourage kash afk grinding. which might be a good thing cuz we won'tsee jedi all that often and the ones that kash grind get even more butt hurt when they die as full temps cuz they have no clue how to pvp. jedi who take the easy path often get hit my the bh bus lol

Jedi are still going to be on the terms, you will always have the idiots that run around with thier saber equiped and fight in Theed. That ain't going to be any different. The smart ones won't do anything like that, but then again, there seem to be fewer that care.
I am a twice respec'd bounty hunter. One of which is a Jedi Padawan. So I see this from both sides.
Can't tell skill level, helps newer jedi level, both bad and good. No name sucks, when you know so and so is in Theed fighting with otherJedi. The payout as I see it will still pay you money, since you get a bonus after killing them, so the pay is still good. You just won't know how much you will get right away.

Not much concerning vis will change since all padawans will still be grinding at the rayyt trails and the wookies there give vis so there will be loads of them on the terms.

First, I'm not a respec BH (unless you consider respecing Novice smuggler to Novice BH is being a respec noob), I grinded all 4 trees and master box the hard way.
There are a few things that bother me about this publish:
- name issue, truly hope to have a name or a command to target the mark easily and avoid ruining my tab key.
- payout: I don't care, I usually choose my mark on the fact he/she is online. I got wasted by 60k marks (BH/padawan - CL80)as well as 226k ones, so payout isn't really an issue except to have an idea of the strength of the mark, yet I believe a BH has to ready himselfeach time he hunts as if all his marks were full templateJedi knights. This way no bad surprise.
- Visibility issue: well, I don't think it will promote kashyyyk afk grinding anymore than it happens now. To my mind, padawans should now feel more free to grind everywhere since their group won't earn them any vis. But they will all get vis anyway as long as ungrouped people pass by, or if they show their l33t powers in the wrong place. Truely now, only the most stupid paddies will appear on the terminals and they will deserve to be executed.
All in all the changes this publish will bring are quite good, it's just the name issue that is particularly annoying, since it will screw the possibility of targeting the mark easily...

by respec BH i basically am being to specific i should probably say Post-CU MBH's. I have grinded 1 Jedi from before Tef's left the game iv'e been though many different grinding styles. And am now grinding a new padawan and I see no point to hunt on kash. Yes it can be safer but ive noticed it's also slower. If your smart you lay down a house where ever you go and you jump in the first sign of Non group member doing this ive only died once and thats ebcause my game minimized. I think those afk grinders just need some smarts because they dont deserve Jedi if they do it afk

I think what you're going to see is more padawan getting whacked by experienced BHs... hence more jedi whining in the long run. After all, if you've accepted a job and take the time to track your mark down to one of the Trail instances, are you just going to walk away when you find he's just a CL60 padawan, or are you gonna whack him, take the money and run? How much is your game time worth to you?
I've already /ranted on the overall state of our profession, and I think Pub 20 is going tokill it. The entire BH/Jedi "relationship" needs to be rethought by the Devs, such that the BH terms are "customized" whereby missions visible to a BH (or BH group) are tailored to the skill level(s) of BH and Jedi. This wouldn't be that hard to do from a coding perspective. All it takes is a commitment to do it right.
Showing which marks are on-line and which aren't is a nice feature... but if the system can be tailored to match skills, then show me all possible permutations... not only those marks that are on-line. Same with faction... show mewho is which faction, but let me choose the job. If the only jobs I see are marks close to my skill level, I'm a happy guy and know if/when I track the mark down, it's going to be a good fight. This also applies to a group of MBHs... tailor the visible jobs such that only Knights are visible, and let the fur fly.
