Thread: Novice Bounty Hunter Equipment Question

Hi. As you can see, I'm really new to this game and just hit CL 17 and became a novice bounty hunter. I have a scatter pistol, an SG-82 rifle, and a DH-17 carbine which I have never used. I'm getting taken out like crazy. So what am I doing wrong? I bought a full set of composite armor, but it seemed to hurt me more than help me and I took it off. Can anyone give me advice as to what armor or weapons I can use? I'm 43X4 ranged at the moment (no carbines) and I'm getting frustrated. Tks.

If you could, let us know what you full skill set is. Do you have any boxes in Rifleman, Pistoleer, etc? Since you just hit Novice BH I'm assuming that all you have is the 43x4 and Novice BH box, right?
If this is the case...Armor isn't going to do a whole lot of good since you are going to be slowed and out damaged. I would recommend getting in a group of people that are CL50 or so. Maybe a little lower and try to go after some higher CL targets. This will get you moving really quickly. As you move up, you'll quickly need to decide what you want to master. Do you want to go full Master BH? Do you want to Master Pistoleer, Carbineer, or Rifleman? All of this is important.
As far as why you are getting whooped, I'm assuming you are trying to solo mobs, which is currently the worst possible way to earn XP. They may make it easier in future updates, but at this time grouping is extremely easy and you will make hundreds of thousands of XP per hour at your level if you can get some friends, guildies, etc to group up with you.
(I'm not sure the hundred's of thousands applies to CL17 as I have not been that low in ages, but you'll get a lot)

Tks for the responses. I know my post was pretty vague. Happily enough my day ended on a much better note because I figured out I can wear some, but not all. of my armor and not get slowed down or lose accuracy. I'm going to find a guild and then hunt in larger groups like you suggest. Tks for being so friendly and answering my post.
