Thread: MBH/MCM or MBH/MCarbs/4000 CM?
From what I've found, the best template really depends on the individual's play style.
I have MCM, and it works well for me. I am HORIBLE at PVP, but with my template I am finially able to actually do some damage. The problem is that you have to know what DOTs and states to use, and how to effectively use them in conjunction. But at the same time, I have guild mates that are M rifles, M carbines, and M pistols, as well as M CM, and they do much better then I do.....
But the thing I found I like most about MBH/MCM is that I can PVP or PVE effectively. I can solo or group. To me it just seemed like a good all around template. Add in some pistols or rifles to give you that little bit extra (stopping shot, or cover).
It seems that the DOTs make the jedi heal more, and use more force.... but then again, logically, I would think that more damage would do the same. So, it all depends on how you feel right playing. For me, rifles are out.... I just can't deal with being that far away, more then 30m and i feel like I have to run closer, and do it unintentionally.... hence it's not a good prof for ME.
Just my 2c. =)
I was a carbineer back when they were worthless, worked my way to Master Swords/Doc. I've now respecced from that back to MC and MBH, plus MCM 4000.
I've already noticed how Carb hits for nice QUICK damage as a MBH. I do way more PVE than PVP, and I'm going to start hunting soon. I'll post and let you all know how this template works.

Whatever template you choose make sure you pick up the enhancers for your healing specials. A CM or Doc who runs with out them will heal about 800 or 900 damage per heal. the enhancers will push the damage healed per shot up to 1500 to 1600. thats the power of jedi heals. Also go get ruby blial and lots of stim Ds. The blial lets you pop a stim every 30 seconds. between those and the CM healing you should be very effective at staying up in a fight.
you will heal around 1.2k with great bactatoss enhancers, 1500 or even 1600 is way off ![]()
but with enhancers theres problems too. one is that you cannot see the cooldown timer on the icon since you need to put them into toolbar. the other problem is that you get an "invalid target" quite often when using them, even with yourself targetted, sometimes they just dont work at all. this happens mostly when its lagging, in that case I usually stick to normal heals without the enhancers... but during a fight this can decide it.
mbh,mcm,carbs0400 is the way to go tbh. its currently a good one and it will be even better with the new patches which are already on tc. since the heals will be beefed up for cm and doc and jedi getting mindcosts for healing you will really live longer versus them. add in electrolyte + crippling shot for a huge slowdown to keep them at range and you dont even miss a root that much...
use thyroid rupture to counter force speed and pretty much disable guys without force speed. and with traumatize you can cripple their mindbar, which they will rely on too from now on. all good things to make life easier for you add with cm ![]()
the saber action costs reduction will be countered with hemorrhage so they wont be able to keep a constant high damage output.
and your last bonus are the dots which will provide another 300 damage every 10 seconds per dot (fire+poison) and are unblockable. so you even deal damage when youre not able to do damage actively when youre healing yourself or being knocked down.
sooo, with the changes on saberthrow and the more damage those specials will do, you will NEED to be able to heal yourself or drown in a saberthrow spamm now. good thing they removed the kd on improved throw, so no kd for non MLS, which can also help alot in keeping the jedi at range instead of the constant kd every 30 seconds.
the carbs0400 will provide you with the needed accuracy to hit them alot, eating crispic will add to that and putting on some shieldgen with +10 general ranged accu willhelp you even more. legshot and adv crit on different timers will be your choice to do damage since those 2 are good and reliable damage dealers. this makes up for your lack of speed. but the lack of speed will assure that you wont run out of action and makes you keep spamming high damage shots instead of low damage ranged shots.
hope that could answer some questions you might have had.
