I just want to share my first few jedi hunts. So far I've only hunted 3 jedi, not counting who knows how many that were aborted because they were offline or on Kash.

1) Hunt #1. I was totally owned. My fault. I went after a 80K (or so) mark and was expecting an easy time of it. I didn't buff up and wasn't really prepared. In fact I was surprised. I tracked the mark and found him in a house. While I was scoping the situation out and wondering what to do, the jedi comes running out of the house with a bowcaster! I was taken by surprise, he wasn't!. It was a good honorable fight but in the end I couldn't recover from my mistakes and he didn't make many. After the fight, I sent him a well-done tell and he sent his congratz on a good fight. He said it was the best one he had in quite sometime. So I felt pretty good. As a side note: His friends were truely obnoxious and had no honor.

2) Hunt #2. I decided to see how an experienced BH does it so I teamed up with a guild mate. We went after a 214K jedi who was acting like a fool at a starport. Showing off that nice new lightsaber. After tracking him on 2 planets and 3 starports, we finally caught up to him. For some reason he was completely taken by surprise. Less than a min later he was dead. He was barely able to take out his lightsaber. I was shocked and sort of felt sorry for him (well maybe that is a bit of an overstatement -- LOL). I thought it would have lasted longer. No hate tells were received. There was no interferance from his friends.

3) Hunt #3. We then decided to hunt a higher level 221K jedi. Again, it was a nice hunt. Tracking over a couple planets and some shuttleports. When we finally caught up to him, he ran, cloaked and finally logged (I assume). I sent him a mail saying good job. He didn't fight but he used his powers to escape. No complaint from me. I would have loved a fight, win or lose, but I can respect the escape option. At least he didn't run into a house or run to Kash.

Finally I was in a group hunting "big foot" on Endor when a full templated Jedi joined the group. We got talking and I found his insights very interesting. When I mentioned that I would have to pull his name from a term and hunt him some day, he welcomed it. He also said that I should bring some friends because he had a very good success rate going 2v1. When I told him that publish 20 would probably eliminate that option because there would be no names on the terms, he was upset. He actually looked forward to being hunted and saw it as a challege to take on groups. He saw the jedi role as "the hunted". All in all he was a really nice guy -- I just hope I can get a group to hunt him before Publ 20 goes live.
