Thread: Jedi keep talking about the risk....I THINK I figured it out..
It's only a minute long, and took MAYBE 15 minutes to slap it together...I'm still just curious about these "risk" Jedi keep using as a justification for being so powerful.
Normally, I avoid posting here. This, however caught my attention. First off, well done! I thought it was good entertainment...and only a half-truth. Not all jedi afk...in fact, most don't. I have only seen 3 people afk, and I had 2 of them killed. The third was warned. I have been grinding my padawan since November 2004, and I have done it without the use of exploits. I have never run from a BH, and have been the target of more than one gank squad. I try and lose with honor, and always am respectful when I win.
I have lost more than 1.3 million xp over the course of the grind due to BH's and Mobs..and I make roughly 300k - 700k a night now, with the group grinds. The xp sux. I know people are making more than me, but i also know that there are plenty that make less than I do.
Point is that I would like you know that most jedi work for their templates...and if you kill an afk jedi, you are doing us a favor.
this is a very good way of getting the point across of how silly the jedi and bh system have become.
its just a joke, and the devs really need to do something about it rather than make it harder to kill jedi since we don't know who we're hunting
i loved it
riiiiight

There are alot of AFKers out there, but not near as many as what some jedi-haters would have you believe.
And I really don't understand those people. They say "You knew the grind was gonna be hard, if you don't like it play KOTOR" and yet complain about all the Jedi.
Sooo..."You knew there were gonna be jedi, if you don't like it, play WOW"
Sheesh.

lol keep your mouth shut if you don't know what you're talking about k nub? originally, when a lot of us bought this game, jedi were going to be rare and extremely difficult to level to the top. they didn't say "anyone who isn't very good at pvp and needs a bit of an advantage will be allowed to easily obtain a jedi knight and then we'll be doing everything in our power to ensure that said knight is undefeatable." the reason people tell you to go play kotor is because you either "just wanted to play a jedi", "there was nothing left for you to do in the game" or you obviously don't like losing(most people don't lose against the ai of video games very often, so people with fragile egos like yourself feel like they've accomplished something in a video game when they defeat computer controlled opponents), so by playing kotor you could easily remedy your problem without having to know what its like to lose.
Yeah, I also "knew" SOE was gonna follow continuity, like having a thousand jedi swarming cities not fearing getting hunted. Oh wait, that wasn't part of the SW continuity.

QFE! These newbs have no idea what it was like to read about this game before launch. Jedi weren't supposed to be seen ever. People would always say "If I saw a Jedi, and he was in trouble, I'd help him out and then maybe help him get out of there safely."
I enjoyed reading the Jedi boards a few months after launch, just looking at all the interesting theories to getting a Jedi. When it was actually discovered, let me tell you, it was a huge let down. Then Jedi started popping up by the 10s, 20s, 30s. Then they got their permadeath nerfed, their saber TEF nerfed (I remember sitting in a cantina looking at a Jedi showing off thinking to my self "if this character weren't a newb, this guy'd be dead, plus, look at all the imperials around here that would take him out), then their skill box loss, then their xp loss to PvP and PvE deaths. Now, they're everywhere. It's a shame, really.
