Thread: My take on anonymous bounties

With these stupid changes coming with pub 20 I was fully considering dumping BH for smuggler (still got my token respec) , having been BH ever since I started in the game a year ago. I was pretty miserable, felt cheated etc etc.

But I've thought of a (slightly RPing) way of personally dealing with the anonymous Jedi idea.

Someone reports a disturbance in the force as characterised by a force user/Jedi. Obviouslynames aren't determined at this point, mereley that a Jedi is present somewhere. It's our job to find out who it is (hence anonymity). We will have to attack quickly or the Jedi will detect, through the force, that someone is hunting them and go to ground, being lost (hence the mission decay). Depending on the difficulty of the Jedi we will be paid accordingly.

I think I could live with that.

I still think that whoever came up with this system is an (insert expletive here).

Well there is one small upside to this new bounty system, and that is that a Jedi's buddies will no longer be able to locate and take his missions to keep them away from real BH's.

That and the fact that only missions for currently online Jedis will be displayed (no more having to screw with an /addfreind macro for every single Jedi mission.

Some headaches removed at least.

Tho it is certainly scary to not know if I wil be facing a wet behind the ears paddy or a seasoned Jedi Master until I am within saber throw range.

I suppose since Jedi hunting is moved to MBH that would at least ensure that only CL80 folks will be fighting Jedi (its already a fight pitched in Jedi favor but coming against one ata lower CL would be suicide)

now if only the /duel exploit would be fixed (course I spose next time a Jedi does that to me, I can simply accept the duel and start wailing on him ;-)

Stand by your guild/city BH terminal with the said Jedi. Take a mission. Tab to see if the Jedi is attackable to you. If not, drop mission, rinse, repeat.

They only have to go through the whole ordeal once until they get the right mission - it is much less annoying to them than to the Bounty Hunters who are, presumably, hunting someone every day.

Probably why missions decay after 3 days

I am the hunter.
You will not see me.
You will not hear me.
You will die to the shadows.

As a jedi knight, I'm looking forward to the changes in pub 20. I haven't been hunted in about 2-3 months and for me and many others like me, theres currently no risk being a jedi, I'm looking forward to having BH visits again
