Thread: Compromise: Give us the Jedi name from the Probot System Message
As a compromise devs, consider giving us the Jedi name from the Arakyd probot system message. This would provide enough delay in that it would be extremely time consuming to have gank squads or keep dropping missions until you find a Jedi you like.
Notice I didnt ask for the payout. To those of us who actually do more with bounty hunting than just driving up to wps, the name is critical.

Ok, as it stands now on test center we do not get the Jedi name, ever. This makes targetting your mark and acquiring any info on your mark ahead of being within 120m of him impossible. Those who have experience hunting know that if many Jedi see unfriendly on the radar they assume BH and the jig is up.

It's ONLY a compromise when you have "something" to give....as it is, we have nothing.
Sounds awfully familiar to what Tanks had proposed awhile back ![]()
Would also fix the whole Kash mess (or at least fix it to where it is now). Search the instances, write down names, grab a bounty, send a droid, get a name, and check that name with your lists. Hell of a lot better that running over the whole damn planet hitt TAB.
Would also prevent low level targeting and group hunting.
While there would still be people willing to waste 500 arakyd droids to get the bounty on "-OmGiAmSoLeEt- -PwNaGe-", there has to be a better solution than having to tab-tab-tab-tab-tab once you get there.
If it weren't for Kashyyyk, I'd say let the Seeker droids give you the ID. They're small, they have to (theoretically) get up close. Probots do their work from orbit.
I'm a Jedi to be...looking at the lowest level Padi in the game, and hear what I say:
I'm fine with this. BH's need to be able to hunt, and having the name ishelpful to being effective. If they search the universe and get a positive hit from their robot, give them the name then. Not many opportunities for abuse from this. I'm also in favor of some kind of resolution to Kashyyk and afk Jedi grinding.
By the way, not all Jedi's are interested in power. My character is almost a year old, and I'm running out of "new" things to do in the game. Jedi opens a few doors that used to be closed. Try to remember this as you think about posting here or engage a Jedi in game: not all of us are 14 year old 4337 doods with an ego and attitude. Many of us enjoy the games facets and recognize that there needs to be balance to keep the game's adventure exciting.

We're just reenforcing the stance of our correspondent

that would be an acceptable change to the way the pub has been implemented. another poster also suggested that the master level spynet agents not be in the same city as a terminal , this makes the process take a little longer and would definitely put a crimp in the style of the folks that only hunt specific jedi, yet would not completely destroy their game. Not sure if i support that though- just tossing it out.
Personally I would like to see a different combination applied to the terminals. I'd like to see the online jedi split into factional groups (tabs) and the names should be listed. Make it so that if you take a Jedi mission and complete it by either killing said Jedi or fail by being killed by said Jedi you can't hunt that jedi again for 3 -5 days. There are plenty of Jedi on the terms so you can always find another mark. leave the mission decay in and let a decayed mission count as a failure. this will discourage people from holding Jedi missions for their alts or friends.

no names on the terms is retarded.
even a jedi like me can see that!!
agreed. there are better methods of dealing with this, imho
