Thread: Wish Every Bounty Mission turned out like this
I like this story and how you managed to make nice even though its "your job" to kill him.
/BRAVO !! well done .. even if u failed your mission

As a Jedi I don't mind losing xp to a really good roleplaying BH. That's what makes this game fun and interesting is the people that play. I'll always disappoint the uber l33t dudez that come around just to make a buck, but a good fight with a BH who plays the role well is always a good time.
Great post and good hunting for you!

I think that if you roleplayed 95% of Star Wars' Bounty Hunters, they'd be that sort of personality.
Finally....someone else who realises that this is a GAME and is played to be enjoyed. Well done.
(Yes I know I am a jedi with BH alt. Trust me I am much more sympathetic towards the BHs in regards to what is happening at the moment, than jedi. IMVHO BHs are about to get the royal pineapple right where the sun don't shine).

That's a bit unfair, there are some very cool and maturepeople play BH and Jedi. I avoid the l337ers like the plague and have had some very enjoyable game experiences with like minded players. The Jedi/BH dynamic can be a massive game enhancer to both sides if played in a mature way. I think to say 95% of BHs are l33t dudez shows that you must keep some poor company when on-line. Get out more, talk to people in a civilised way and you will be amazed to find that the MAJORITY of the swg population are fun people to interact with. When you find that out, it is so much easier to ignore the idiots.
This isnt meant as a flame m8, really. I am just trying to encourage people to not take prejudices on-line with them, but to only judge people after getting to know them in a civilised and friendly manner.
As a roleplayerI thrive on the conflict between Jedi and BHs, but when it starts to cross over into RL and the way people interact with THE PERSON BEHIND THE TOON then I find it wholly objectionable.

"You wish you failed every bounty mission?"
No, you missed the point of the post. The point is that it was fun, and profitable at the same time. I've read a lot of this forum lately and heard the horror stories of jedi flaming bh's in tells after killing them, well I wanted to show how things could be otherwise, there were no hard feelings on either side and it was purely done in sport and fun for the game. Sure..I lost, he didn't deathblow me and for that I thank him, I got money out of the deal..sure not the whole bounty but that's okay..and I got a fun play session out of it. It was my first real fight with a jedi and I loved that I got the opportunity. I wish more people would roleplay their characters, this is a MMORPG after all.

good story
i am not a huge RPer myself, but i think it can add fun and flavor to situations that have the potential to be unpleasant.
one poster said they don't mind losing XP to a good RPing Bounty Hunter, and i have to agree. i have had some Bounty Hunters do a GREAT job of watching, waiting and picking the PERFECT time to strike. the death was clean, quick and in my eyes well deserved on BOTH sides.
thanks for sharing
and then proceeded to drop the mission, duel with the jedi. He inc'd the jedi and that was that. the fun thing was all the jedi inthe grp loved this guy soo much we all tipped him the bounty before any1 knew the other tipped....guy walked away with 500k. I would do it again in a heart beat. I like RP'ing BH's.
All you have to do to is, calm down the jedi by letting them know u have the mission, ask em to duel you to confirm u had such mission. Offer to them if they inc you they walk but if you inc they pay out then drop the mission and duel. If they don't live up to their side of the bargin, hunt them untill they are about -10 mil xp.
Daire.
