I get my mission, do the probe thing and hes on dathomir. So i get there, land and woohoo hes only 34 m away from me.
I run in ready for a fight and hes not there, tab forever no target. Just a waypoint arrow. So i call out my seeker, updates and he still is just supposedly right in front of me.
Looks like a bug.
Its a possibility he may have agro a player and got killed, but i got there pretty fast within a minute or 2 of taking the misison and there was no corpses anywhere with dath outposts usually lots of npcs get slaughtered by bh npcs.
So wondering, anyone have any tips about this bug or should i just abort mission and grab another one.

This has happened to me before in fact I had one of these bugged missions last night. Nothing you can do except abort mission and try again. It's in fact a bug that happens sometimes when your mark is located within a city.

I see that alot in towns,a waypoint and no mark, but if that's not the first waypoint and you know where the first waypoint was then the mark will still be at the first waypoint. Sometimes the waypoint moves ,but the mark doesn't.

the workaround i found, that works for me, is to take a 10 min break, then launch another seeker..usually the target will have moved..had this happen in bestine yesterday, took a break and then it was in mos eisley..
it seems if the target is too close to a building, this will happen sometimes...if you wait a few min it will move...i'd rather waste another seeker, the go back to the term, talk to the informant, and use another akryd

The easiest way that I found to correct this issue is to do a /target "Your target's name". You can get you targets name from your datapad.
He/she is usually 75 to 125 meters away.
Thanks,

I had something similar once. Was my first or second BH mission out of Kaadera, just had gotten to Investigation 2.
Launch the Probot and after a long time it tells me that the target is on Naboo. Woot. I check the waypoint and it says 100m or so. Double-woot
So I run out of the Starport again, and look around. See the waypoint and the mark on the map, supposedly inside the medcenter, can target him with Tab and examine him and all.
Go inside, and nothing there. The target brackets just target air. It says 0m away and "You can't see your target" when i tried to fire.
Damn that was frustrating
