Thread: Old (very old) BH returning, post-CU weapon choices?

I played a BH/Pistoleer way way back, just after release. I decided to come back to SWG after the CU, just to give it another go (and because I have played enough WoW over the last eight months to last me for a bit 
). Back when I was a BH, you had to be a Master Marks + Master Scout to even get BH, so you had no chance and getting a Master Elite weapon (unless you didn't go MBH, which was pretty common back then). I am not sure what weapon to specialize in at this point.

Is that still true? Even if it is, is it still viable as a PvE weapon choice?
I guess my real question is: Will I be totally gimp going Carbine, or will I hold my own?

Carbines are very good now. They have the best snare in the game and great damage shots. Also they have the medium range capability. I am a master carbineer and I love it. My full temp is: MBH, MCarb, CM 4000. As far as a weapon I use an E2 MarkII Carbine - 438-919 dmg , 1.35 speed, 71 SAC (after pup) and it does well...it's not the best I could get but it's what I could afford.

Try to get a capped damage czerka or get a nyms so you have a kinetic gun. Jedi with psg block huge damage when using energy weapons. On the other hand, kinetic is not effected by the PSG. So get a good kinetic weapon as backup. You can also use a Scatter or FWG pistol too.
