Hello all,

I am currently very happy with my character, but would like to be pointed out if I am missing something in my skill selection.

I am currently Master Bounty Hunter, Master Pistoleer and... Novice Doctor.

I am happy with this, giving me reasonable heals, self-augmentation, and heal wounds.

It seems to me that Combat Medic 4xxx is a very interesting option, that I have seen countless times, and never once seen Novice Doctor instead.

Now CM 4xxx seems to have marginally better healing, and slightly more defence mods.

Is the difference as subtle as that, or am I missing something?

I started with medic xx3x.. .. went with xx4x.. .. CM 4xxx and now moving more into CM as I have tested it more. With 4xxx you get advanced bacta spray which is by far my most used heal as it does 1250 no prob.

I dunno about doc tho and how it compares I just know I have no concern in can I heal enough only a matter of balacning healing / damage while watching that good ol' mind bar.

My heals look kinda like Bacta shot @ 1095, Toss @ 1100, Spary @ 1290, Stim D @ 1309

.. .. ..

nov doc<4000 cm.
4000 CM and nov doc have the same bacta shot...since you'd only be able to get novice you wouldnt have improved bacta shot so you'd heal the same. cm comes with more heals so it is better. I personally like master doc>master CM though

the wound heal benifit of doc is more a luxury than anything else. The health augment is fairly small, and you can usually find some practicing docs most of the time.... but the bottom line is that you get an extra 300 health I believe. That's basically like having an extra 300 heal once during the fight. Not that big of a deal.

Now, from what I understand, the heals from CM 4000 are more powerfull than nov Doc. I have had CM 4000, but never nov doc, so I cannot attest to that.

I will however say this. With CM 4000 you have 2 huge bonuses over Doc (besides the better heals), a 1.2 mill medic xp cap (great for those going FS), and group healing with bacta spray. You can help out a great deal of other players with a 15m heal range that you don't even have to target a buddy. With booster blue and Caf you can pop that 1k plus heal every 10 seconds for about 6 min before you run out of mind.... great for group PvP or group PvE.... so having CM 4000 will also increase your all around abilities, beyond just BHing.

Thank you very much for those replies - I can see that CM 4xxx looks better than novice doc. I shall test my resolve getting the XP I need for it.

Cheers guys.
