Thread: kinetic dmg weapons vs energy dmg weapons
Is the dmg output that much better with kinetic weapons as opposed to energy?
if i were a carbineer bh I should be using Nyms or another kinetic carb rather than a capped out E-11 or other high end energy carbine?
by the same token if I were a pistoleer bh would i be stuck using the obligatory capped out FWG5 rather than another weapon like ROTW loot?

i love using my fallen hyper rifle for the alpha strike. But when my action gets down to 1/5 i switch to my ALR.
yes the PSG sucks up a lot of your damage but if you sit there and do placed/ranged shot for a bit you will see that your damage will start going up. Once it levels out then start using your specials.
PSG's will stop absorbing damage after a bit. And it will be just like they didn't have one. So i would say its just up to you. Do you like the FWG5 more then your ROTW weapon?

Does this mean that they can't be ADKed? I thought they could be even after CU.

I would agree with this, while not a MCarb, I do have enough to make Nym's practical. Perhaps, MDefs make you miss just enough so that their PSGs have time to regen between hits. I believethe best Nym you could find is around 357-714, 174 acid damage, and 2.25 speed.

Oh yeah what Dallow said is something you need to pay attention to if your going to use a Energy based weapon and try to do what i just described above.
you run into a MLS/Mdef your going to miss so much or have it blocked that this technique will not work in killing his/her PSG. thats when you should stick with a Kin based weapon.
i checked earlier this month ( october ).... you can still get as many nym's as you want provided you get the parts and give them to Nym. Also, as far as stats go. I have seen a thread in the carbineer forum where a lot of players listed the stats for the slugthrowers. These are the best individual unsliced stats i saw and no gun have more than two of them. 2.17 speed, 360-720 kinetic damage, 175 acid damage, 80 SAC.

Friend of mine has some freakishly powerful bowcasters. One with over 1500 max damage.
