I was thinking MCM/MBH/ carbineer 4/0/0/0. Anyone know how good this would do?

hey I took a poll on the jedi forum about how much jedi lose against bh and most of them claimed to be undefeated. A few of them had a couple of losses and many wins. So who is lying the 20 of them....or you?

Most bounty hunters... suck. In general, the ones that post tend to be veterans who know what they're doing. Hence the difference.

Thats a good one, carbines are the all around weapon, with the power of a rifle, yet with the speed of a pistol. that is not a bad one to try out. Just make sure you get your hands on one heck of a carbine

Should be a decent template, just remember that it has to fit your play style. Some people try out MCM, and loose every fight, and wonder why they can't succeed. Most of the time it's because that play style is not suited for them. Some people are just really good at the walk in and blow your opponents head off templates. Some people can play both.

For example, my BH is MBH, MCarbs, CM 4/0/0/0.

My Jedi on the other hand is Master Sabers, Master Enhancer, Healer 4400, and fare's quite well against any CM i've tried combatting.(havn't had any BH come for me yet, so not a true test as the first strike means a lot, but then again, a CM's first strike means nothing, as most MCM's use the Paralize move first, then put on electrolyte drain, etc. etc., which with my template is dumb because the second they try to do dmg, paralize wares off and I stasis them. I now have 45 seconds to wait for all their specials to wear off. On top of that I can heal fire(in my opinion, the best DOT effect out there) and when they are stasis'd, i can either run(not likely, unless really low on force and dont' really stand a chance, or i can sit down and regenerate my health/force and take all the PvP food I want.

Most jedi don't have my fighting style though. On my server i think i was one of the first people to use Stasis as an offensive move in one on one duels/BH encounters. I'm the first that i know of, and when i showed it to my friend who has the same template as I, I took him down in about 10 seconds because of a misstep on his part, and not realizing what i was doing till it was too late. Of course, once i showed him what i did, it was dang hard to take him down a second time.

I use Underhand then thyroid first. I dont think I've ever used Paralize, my dots and such make it useless.

Either way, once you find a template that fits you, find out why and really think it out. I know of some that even hunt jedi with no healing but stims, the crazy nuts. I'm a MBH, MCM, 4xxx Rifleman btw.

Almost any BH will beat most Post CU Jedi, because (sadly) it appears that many do not have the brainpower to reason beyondthe tactics.

I've seen some Jedi, a few post-CU, most pre-CU with the most unusal templates kick two shades of crap out of a BH just by knowing their template. Just today I watched a Pre-CU jedi make mincemeat of TWO MBH/MCM's that attacked her at once. She had 40% force at the end of the fight and was a MLS/Enhancer...

And these were not newbie BH's either...

Same goes for BH's. If you want to be good, really good, stop relying on templates, and start relying on and building up your own skill. My favourite two BH combos post CU have been MBH/MRanger and MBH/MCommando - one because they are unusual, and two because they add that element of 'out of the box' thinking. I have never touched a CM line and have always relied solely on stims...

If the BH was smart....he would pull, if not already out, his probot while he was stasis'd and prevent u from regening.

In the end it must come down to what suits you best. As some have said, they rely solely on stims. And that is something I myself never have gotten the hang of. I do use stims, but it is nice to have the back up healing just in case you make a mistake.

As for the underhandshot then thyroid, not a bad idea, and the probot is nothing to worry about. Remember that you can just kill the probot then run 200m out, when the BH follows you'll still have a TEF, and can instantly stasis again, giving you all the regen time you need.

As one person said, template means nothing, it's how you use it. I personally have taken on 2 master defender/master sabers at the same time and come out on top because I know my template, and use all the abilities given to me. I don't have the best saber, and I am a Pre-Cu jedi(although not by much, i got jedi only a few weeks before the CU went live).

I did come up with an interesting template idea though earlier today.... for those BH who rely solely on stims(and pet stims for this template) when the new patch roles in, and Rangers can cloak(think the skill is conceal, can't remember, too long since i was a ranger) then you use your pets as attackers. I doubt talking or /tellpet commands will break your concealment, and you can probably control them from complete safety. Then when ever they need some healing, pop out, throw a few heals and go back into hiding. Sure would be a difficult template to go up against as there would never be only one target, and taking on a guy who can't be seen is not easy. Not sure yet, as i don't know for sure how everything will work, but should be good.
