First let me tell you my system specs then what I am seeing.

AMD 2600+ (2.08GHz)

768 RAM

Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128mb Graphics card

WinXP

Now I play fine even when I am in Cnet which is nice in itself. But as soon as I land on good old wookie world my FPS goes to 2 to 4 and ping goes up to 1600. This is from the FPS 15-30 and ping 80-100 I have most other places. If I get attacked on that planet I am done for. Took me 10 tries just to walk the AT-ST from the lag I was getting. Everyone says to go to the Ryatt trails but what is wrong with my system. I mean I can not step foot on that planet. I talked to thier customer service they told me upgrade my RAM to 1Gig and get a 256mb graphics card. In other words spend $100 on ram and spend $200+ on a graphics card to play a game that has only one planet as a problem.

At the same time I have talked with people with the higher end machine and some still have problems. Some people using a lower machine than me are able to hunt there fine and wonder what is wrong with me that I can not. Can anyone figure out what is up since CSR's only blame my machine all the time.

hmm, no idea, it shouldn't be your machine. do you have high end adsl?

I've gota 2.8 ghz P4 with a geforce 128mg graphics card along with 512? or was it 256? RAM and kashyyyk runs fine on my computer, even considering that i live in australia and have an average ping of 300-400 (highest while the game still worked was about 9000 odd) I've got cable net conection. I've no idea, have you got latest drivers and such?

turn your texture quality and geometry down all the way in game option

in the launchpad settings, disable pre-world loading

I have the same vid card with an AthlonXP 2400 and 1 gig of RAM. And I have exactly the same problem as you. I just redid my HD and bought the TE to get the Kashyyyk stuff and when I go there it is laggy laggy laggy. I was really looking forward to hunting marks there since I never could before and now it is just crap. I also noticed that when I use the starport on Kashyyyk and hit travel, when I bring up naboo all the cities are way out in the water to the north. I have done some fullscans, and am thinking of reinstalling TE, but it is really frustrating. I am actually interested in the new content, but with 2FPS and constant screen freezing it just isnt worth it. I would like to upgrade my vid card, but dont have the money for that now, plus I shouldnt have to.

There are display settings that can be changed which will drastically impact your performance. I run a fairly decent machine and turn them down most of the time to increase my speeds. I'm almost always at 30fps with a few spikes here and there but I never drop way down to 2-4 fps consistantly. I do run 1gig of ram though (made a difference in lag so you may want to consider this option anyways), and I do have an ATI radeon 9800pro which is nice (128mb version).

I have every graphics option turned down as far as it will go. I use no radial flora all shadows are turned off. I literally have everything turned down. People look really funny when you have the graphics turned down. No matter how much I shut down the graphics it does not help. I have also noticed that the graphics while I am on Kashyyyk seem to always be turned up to highest values despite what I set in options. Vegitation is still everywhere. I have gone to Ryattt trails to get killed by a level 25 because litterally I could not move at 1fps. I watched as I slowly died but could do nothing. I can not afford a new $100 stick of ram or a new graphics card.
