You still have to grind the village, and wait out each phase, so all and all the process is at least about 3 or 4 months long....Wich could have been done faster pre-village.
But yeah evreyone wants to be a Jedi now.....Who knew.

Getting glowy does not in any way make you a jedi, and you can do it in less than 5 days anyway.
They still have to do the village which takes a minimum of 18 weeks (6 phases, 3 weeks apart), before they even start the jedi grind. They won't be a jedi padawan for at least another 4 months yet, and even longer to finish a jedi template.

TO ALL BOUNTY HUNTERS: me and many of my friends recently got The Total Experience. None of us are interested in being jedi. Infact all of us (except one who really wants to grind to master architect) want to be bounty hunters. So please keep in mind some of the "new generation" dont want to be jedi.

When I first got the game in November of 2004. I became a Master Brawler, and glowy in 6 days. I played like a FIEND and was obsessed with becoming a Jedi.

I'm new to the game to. I just started 3 weeks ago. I soloed for 2 weeks while learning the game...then I found Dant. In the last 3 days I've gone from CL 22-80....MBH, MC, Pistols 0004. Now I don't know what to do but start getting glowy. The grind for this game seems insanely easy. If there isside content it seems so off the path that I've not even heard about it yet..I picked my first jedi mark last night, but he logged before I could get eye on the objective.

The grind in this game is easy and there is a lot of stuff to do that you will discover as you try and get glowy. The difference is are you going to just visit these places or actually do stuff there. I loved the theme parks I did and I enjoy all the stupid little quests you can pick up every now and then. Sometimes it is easy to get sucked into everything jedi. My guild is always doing krayt hunts for pearls, NS hunts for crystals and loot, and other jedi related stuff. Yesterday it dawned on me that it is Double XP time and I could get some serious work done in space doing freelance pilot. I think one of the saddest things is that newbies arent pushed towards the low end content. There is the fynock cave on Talus, the Aakuan cave, pirate cave, drall cave, spice mines, rogue cor sec base, lots of stuff. The problem is everyone gets roped into the grind and by the time they discover these places it is so easy it is boring. Maybe I will recruit a bunch of newbs from Eisley and take them to these places, it would be fun to see how a full low level group can handle it.

Tell me how you were able to unlock faster pre village lol. In your hate of jedi you forget he previous method called GRIND!
It took me 30 professions to open my slot. A much harder task then simply doing a few missions and getting the xp. I had to
get credits and reasources and willing subjects for things like ID to grind out he professions. I never used AFK macro's to
grind (well except the dancer and musician ) and it took me the better part of 1.25 - 1.5 years to unlock.
The only way to avoid that type of grind was to unlock before the holo's were introduced and at that time no one was certain
of the method to unlock. It is so funny to listen to the BRING BACK PERM DEATH!!!! or NERF DEFENDER!! or JEDI
SPLOITER!! posts when All classes have used the system to thier advantages. Anyone remember when you almost had to
have tkm/doc or rifleman/cm to be a pvp'r? Nuff said

I got glowy pretty quick, but that was because I was OBSESSED with getting as many badges as I could while new. I think the longest one was probably Master Marksman, since I never played to level, only played to do stuff.
