first off, sliced my first 2 containers and no problem. Started on my third, used clamp, then used the knife and then all i kept getting was the box that says it was successful but the container still showed up as locked in my inventory. I checked and i only had 28/60 items in the inventory. Is this a bug, has it happened to anyone else, or what is wrong. Any idea's

Had that problem my first time slicing as well. If you cut the blue wire, you need to then cut the red wire.

HOWEVER: If you cut the red wire, just hit OK again without selecting something to cut, and the container will open. Just a little oddity I spose.

i am sure that this has been addressed before but the forums searches are damn buggy.

i just joined the vaunted and somewhat underappreciated smuggler profession and i need to to get slice XP.

what MOBS tend to drop the most locked containers? where to find them?

i hate the starport grind but...which starports tend to work best? ( i know the most populated makes sense, but those places are spam hell :smileywink

also (last ditch effort) where can one buy LC's? i really don't want want to do this but i do have the money to spend and i really don't want to spend most of the 4-5 hours per week that my lady letsme (:smileymadplay spaming starports.

I had the most luck in Kaderra? on Naboo (upper right of planetary map). Just running around outside the city and killing the thugs. Your best bet is probably to get outside a major spaceport and advertise for them. I had the most luckin Coronetonthe Kauri server. Buy them outright, slice them for free, whatever you find works. I see more and more on the bazaars but be cautious of buying ones that have been sliced, screwed up and are now unlockable. As soon as you can slice weapons, find a slicer vendor (like me on Kauri:smileywink that can make you crates of basic fighting knives. Buy crates of them cheap and grind away on slicing. Oh yeah, it may cost more money up front but I'd recommend using molecular clamps right off the bat. Sure speeds up the process since you're guaranteed successful slices every time.

Tuskens drop plenty of em.

Errr, hope you didn't take that wrong, let me detail it:

Let's assume you use a molecular clamp so you know 100% which wire to cut:

BLUE WIRE: If you are told to cut the blue wire, cut the blue wire. After the blue wire is cut, cut the red wire and you're done.

RED WIRE: If you are told to cut the red wire, cut the red wire. The window will pop up again, then just hit OK without doing anything.

I have a 918 max dmg high cap scatter pistol that i'm trying to slice. I know the weapon cap is 948, and I get this funny message after I perform the initial 2% dmg slice, "This weapon has already surpassed its maximum power output and cannot be sliced." Is this normal? I thought it would take me 2 dmg slices (40% customization) to reach max.
