Thread: Mando armor, Jedi, and continuity...

Alrighty now, seeing as continuity has been tossed out the window in SWG with a 100 million Jedi running around, why continue to make Mando armor "rare like it should be"?
I'd much rather see a ton of BHs running around chasing Jedi in this stuff than that awful "Cylon" composite armor...at least it would look more like Star Wars.

I certainly wouldnt like this, we need rare items as something to aim towards. I think BH's runinng around in ubese armour is fine. If you want some mando you should go and get some.

/agree Just because SOE borked over the number of Jedi does not mean they cannot at least keep one area of the game that was done right...

as a matter of fact the mando armor should'nt be in the game, just as much as the jedi should'nt
the reason for this in terms of EU continuity is that the mando wars were over thousands of years before the current game timeframe.

All I have to say is whatEVER. I was in the MO cantina on Dant the other day with my Jedi(surrounded by dozens more) getting a buff from a dancer wearing BH armor w/ a MANDO helmet. Yeh, thats star wars alright...

Mando armor is just an "appearance" schematic to make Assault Armor LOOK like Mando.
If you really want everyone to have Mando armor, just MOD the Composite Armor skin to look like Mando armor.

So is that a good reason to make something that is hard to get and rare easy to get and common? Just because an entertainer had one everyone should?

Umm...you mean like what Jedi should be?
Come on now, SOE has already totally fouled up any semblence of true Star Warscontinuity here. They already said "fun over realism". I think it would be fun to chase Jedi in what at least looks like Star Wars gear!
(And as for Ubese armor - yeah I want to look like Princess Leia in disguise....NOT! And shouldn'tUbese be "rare" too - I mean she was the only one who wore it in the movies. 
)

Stop trying to get Mandalorian Armor turned into a joke.
It's the only quest in the game that requires like 8 different professions lots of time and team work to get done. Not only would i like for it to stay as the ultimate reward and rarity item, i'd like to see more and more quests like this that will involve an entire guild and numerous professions working as a teamto be successful.
And stop trying to make it BH only content(To the ones who think they should get it for killing jedi).
Getyour guild, get organized, and get to work. Simple as.

You all know that pithy arguments like this are what is destroying our community. That is not even mentioning the attitudes between us bhs and the jedi. It is no wonder that the remaining SWG community is starting to hate us big time. I love this profession, but I also despise being associated with those who do things like this.

Not trying to turn it into a joke. It looks great and should be seen more often (I think that's SOEs thinking behind Jedi too). It shouldn't be the exclusive realm of the Uber player or Uber guild.
(There are those of us who distain the politics of most guilds and so will never join one again. I guess we are SOL. Might as well start grinding out a "rare" Jedi toon then....)

Im sure that you agree that so many jedi in the game is a bad thing. Should we make it even worse by making it really easy to make mando armour. Why dont you just get together and start working with people to get a set made. I really dont think that the fun in chasing jedi is in what style armour you where but in the fun of the fight. However the DWB is loads of fun, really hard and plenty to do.
