In the beginning you talk to bothan informants. They should be near the point where you get your mission. After a while you use droids to find 'em (and pray they don't move).
It takes eternity.
That will teach you to tak ebounties that are not closer town 
I have found at times if the mark is not there if I wait a bit he will spawn, course last time he spawn as a white dot so, yea me.
When you find a mark you will receive 10% of th epayout as Bh xp, so a 6500 mission grants 65xp
heh, gonna make a pointless correction for wayticus. I'm guessing he just made a typo since his other numbers are correct, its actually 1% of the payout as bh xp not 10%. God how I wish it wasy 10%. Would certainly make the grind less painful.

OMG that is horrible ill never even make the first box of investigation ( ive finished pistol )
How am I supposed to tell if its close to town before I take the mission ?
You need to find an informant that's right next to the terminal. Equip your best weapon (LLC if you have one), accept the best paying mission, talk to the informant, check your map to see where it is, if it's more than 200m outside of a city don't risk it, abort, rinse, repeat. This seems like a lame cheesy boring way to play, but trust me, after 1 or 2 white dot marks in the middle of nowhere, you turn to the dark side reeeeeeeal fast.

I agree makes me feel cheesy but really 15 min to run and he isn't there.
AND on top of that it usually takes me several tries. wether i accually run away to heal or he incaps me or slays me it takes a few trys. and if i have to run for 15min to get there only to die and run another 15 min and risk maybe taking 3 or 4 runs out there... no way not cool
No the game is made so we BH's should get any exp at all in investgation,
devs have figure it all out! if we dont fill our last boxes whith exp we stay
in game longer, So they created all white marks, stuck in the wall bugg
No exp for killing mark etc..and overall have price on Travels so
we cant afford to travel to find the marks,and have to get regular
missions to get cash ALL is in the Devs Great plan for BH's!
I've been working on Investigation for the past few days trying to cap my 10k for Inv I and II. I finally noticed partway through today I was still sitting with the same XP as I was 2 days ago. I made note of the number then did a fe more missions and nada. I was ondering if anyone else is having this problem and if it's possible to get a Dev to grant the lost XP.
