I've been playing SWG since launch and for about 3/4 of that time I've been BHing. Mostly melee, but some range. I decided to put away my nicely polished Katarn Knucklers and drop my TKM/MBH/Commando4000 template and try going range. I've decided to venture down a road I have yet to travel......Rifleman. MBH/MR/CM4000 looks just right. After a few lairs I'm at MBH of course....Novice Rifles +1 box and just shy of Novice CM. My dileema resides in what specials should I be utilizing as MBH with now Rifles? Headshot or Eyeshot? Snipershot or Torsoshot? What should be my opener, what should I spam, and what would be my closer.....the kill? I appreciate any and all input and thank you very much!

Open witha KD shot, then Adv Crit and Torso alternate. Same damage plan as any ranged MBH. I'd toss in a Kneecap shot after the KD Crit and Torso if they're not rifles, too, so you could kite

Just keep in mind the kind of target changes strats. The nice thing about MBH & MR is the /prone; /cover; /concealShot for peeling off approx. 2K off NPC marks before they arro. For fast arro I use pistols 0 0 0 4, again /prone; /sniper; /stopping shot; /sniper; /Kneecap; /sniper or /advancedCriticalShot.(NOTE: It just seems on faster targets and pvp there are always people in your group or too close to /cover)Once a target is close BH specials are strong but one I dont think may get much use but helps a lot is /ImprovedDuelistStance. IF you test with your combat tab you will see by using it a lot of damage is reduced. I also feel pretty good about improvedUnderhandShot. It works just as good with my rifle as my scatter the ONLY target I almost never see go down with improvedUnderhandShot is Kryatts. It seems with a ALR in the 500dps range this kind of strat works well. I also have stims for when the rifle misses from time to time I still get like 3-5 misses in a row even with master rifles and when that happens its time to stim and burst! I dont have a medic line with Stim D's available.

Welcome To Ranged Sporting!

MR/MBH/CM 4/x/x/x

I open with cover, conceal shot til cover is blown, KD, sniper, adv startle shot, adv sniper, rinse and repeat.

Knockdown and adv startle shot don't succeed 100% but it's about 50-75% forme. Does anyone know if accuracy improves the chances of a successful KD or adv startle shot?

Just thought I would throw this out there. I have the SureShot Cybernetic arm and that has given me a 70m range with rifle. Up from 65 meters. I am trying to get the other ranged arm and from what I hear that will bump up my default range to 80m. Use that with Cover, Imp. Conceal Shot, and Sniper Shot and that target is taking a beating before he knows where you are. Now, against Jedi I don't know how realisitic it is to use the Cover technique but having 80meters to work with is nice. I am a 2 week old MBH and still working on getting equipment so I haven't had a chance to hunt Jedi yet.

open: adv aim, then sniper.

if its a NPC, do another sniper.

if its a jedi, kick up shot and then for your damage shots, alternate head shot and crit shot, (the most advanced versions u have of course) (Torso shot? i dont realy use this much, should i ??)

then you have at your disposal the BH and Rm spechials: il just add RM: we have startle shot (5 sec daze - breaks on damage, not THAT usefull anymore, really a situational shot, when u need to heal and / or run - if you spam it, target gets anger) and the knee cap shot witch is a pretty good snare, if it sticks.

i try to use the snare right after my kick up shot on jedi.

on NPC, i have yet to even get incapped, by even a gold cheveron. BH/RM is great for soloing the BH NPC's, prolly the best temp for it.
