I am 0 for 5 rigtht now - just loggd on and decided to run some BH missions. Every mission has been off the map or in the water.
Is there a secret to actaully getting a mission that I can complete?
Aargh - the frustartion!

Oh God. I know how you feel. I used to get that problem all the time. Recenlty, however, I haven't. I'd just wait a bit. The marks wander around and they will eventually stop swimming. All you can do is wait. They'll eventually make there way toward a starport, it seems to me. Or just sit out in the wilderness in some random spot.
I dump my missions to corellia now bz it's such a pain in the ass! I suggest that if it's too much of a pain, just take another mission.

I have done a ton of these missions - just never run into this streak - my last on the probe droid just landed in a tree and I cant see it.
I have decided to /bug every one of these - hell I have time in the 3k ride back to the starport
Wait - might be able to do this one - only 6k from teh science outpost on dath - here we gooooooooo

This is a workaround...i havent tested...but try it.
Wait the the tracking droid to loos track of your mark.
Send up a new one. The mark will have moved up to 500m after that.

Pyskow has it right. Seen this many times. Key is dont get close to them if they are off the map ( behind the invisable map barrier ) or in water DONT get within 250m or they will "Lock down" on that spot.
I go out 1000m, stop, let the seeker stop reporting, and send up a new seeker. I usually see them jump a LARGE distance from where they were. Like he said they usually go for a starport.
However, with every one of these missions I get I get a mission that the mark is standing 50m away from the starport I landed at. It balances out in the end.
