Thread: A few bounty hunter questions (npc missions)
I have been playing with the idea of getting rid of Zurgoo's respec popup, tempted to go smuggler or bountyhunter.
Template would be:
Master Shipwright
Master Bounty Hunter
Merchant 0003
Now this is not a PvP bounty hunter template for sure unless we can throw heavy ship engines at them
My questions are:
Will I be able to get those nice npc missions for loot with only cl54?
Will it help if I am grouped with a cl80 pulling missions from the terminals (if no at the question above)?
Having a friend with me would at least be able to heal me even if they cant directly attack the targets?
i dont think you can group with friends to do bh missions and the good loot drop from lvl 80+ elite / boss marks

Well, your friends can't help you take out a mark... so grouping is relatively pointless.

i lost a mark today when he spawned in the mo and was dead when i got there..
so this may be another 'not quite working as intended' thing...
anyone ever taking a partner hunting to see if it works? i know you can be healed by someone else while fighting marks.

ummm that's not entirely true. Now I do not know if this is working as intended or not but my first boss mark whooped my butt. So I called in a MCM friend of mine to help me out. Now while he could not actually fight the mark, it being that wonderful white to him, he could however heal me up the whazoo while I fought the mark. For those curious, the mission did split the money between the two of us.

I was doing them for 1.5 weeks at clvl 75 ish and didn't get any elites, the moment I grinded out the rest of my template and got to clvl 80 I was getting elites a lot more often
Will it help if I am grouped with a cl80 pulling missions from the terminals? Don't know about this one for certain but I would imagine that it will work the same as lair mission, ie the missions you get are at the level of the highest person in the group which should help getting better loot

Yep generally all your friend will be able to do is heal, but I have heard that if anyone else gets caught in an AoE they can then attack the mark too. As marks tend to use a fair few of these you should be ok (BTW using lairs like this can be quite handy, they still just go after you and not attack the mobs but if you gety the positioning correct you can get quite a few creatures from the lair to swarm your mark)

My idea was to go Bounty Hunter CL54 for some fun with pve bounty missions, but I am also considering going smuggler instead so I wanted to know what would be the drawbacks of being CL54, like bah worthless you wont get any good missions (meaning no nice loot).
Seems some say I wont get the uber stuff but can get decent loot, might be ok for me, just want to get access to jabbas "spaceport" (imperial pilot) and don't have the energy for droid engineering anyway, shipwright is fnu for all the reverse engineering.
Time will tell, smuggler might be fun as well, hopefully you want be crippled for being a hybrid.
