Thread: Stalking the Jedi Detection Range

Just wondering if anybody can tell me for a fact what range a Jedi will 'see' me on his radar. My radar doesn't seem to pick up anything over 128m, regardless of which range setting I put it on, but I seem to get 'spotted' if I go within 256m of a jediwithout using cover first. This obviously means a mamoth crawl into firing range, so if it isn't needed, please tell me!

Cheers

Kal

Not sure about the ranges, but I know with my Jedi I never watch radar - I always have my overhead map on and that seems to be a lot more reliable for me, but again I dunno what range that is on.

About 220 I think.

Make sure you don't cover where they can see but not radar detect because the +cover+ will still popup. And take them out of your friends list.

Ok there is a big difference do you want to know the radar distance or the distance they can detect you at? These are two totally different things. for radar 220 to 128 is average detection. But if they are using thier overhead map it is a wopping 300.

Let me tell you I am tired of crawling 300 meters without tapes lol.

with the 300m ranged of the overhead map, do they see you right away or is the same as the radar, where you have to load up in the radar first?

hmmm, I guess 300m isn't that much further to crawl than the 260m I'm doing already

Cheers for the info anyways

My rule for detection is basically if I can see them then they can see me. I usually use my overhead map as a guide. Unless they are in a structure when you see there little triangle pop up I think you can safely assume your little triangle has popped up on their map as well. If they are in a building it is more difficult to tell though, since their little triangle wont actually pop up. You just have to do some experimenting though. Look for buildings to hide in that are outside the range of them before you load on their screen. I generally try and stay 300m or more out of range until I am ready to move in, then it really doesnt matter. I also bring my map up when shuttling in to towns so I can immediately find the malls or merchant tents to look like a shopper and evaluate the area, as well as track my mark.

It also depends where you are..

it is easier to sneak up in cities where your triangle will be hidden among all the building lables..

plus. your triangle is tiny when the map screen is zoomed out all the way.. so in some areas you have some time to shoot in and conceal without them catching it. i'd say its best to wait till the mark is in a more crowded area or get them while they are doing something..

if a mark is hunting on dant for example.. you have a good chance of rushing in and getting them while they are focusing on their target and even if they have the map up they wont see yout tiny triangle until its too late.
