Thread: First hunt, oh the comedy...

Hey all, I finally reached Bounty hunter yesterday after a long long time of loafing round the galaxy. I have been playing on and off since the game came out and have only just hit my first elite profession. I started going for BH back in the days when you needed Master marksman/master scout. SO i'm now MM/MS/BH. I'm laughably rubbish at combat but hey im having a good time 
Took my first BH mission yesterday and figured it would be relatively easy. Bought my first ever proper set of armour yesterday and spent 60K on it (thats a lot for me). So there I am in my pimping armour strolling up to my mark, I forget to check his combat level and promptly get my ass handed to me. Turns out he was CL43 and I'm CL21. Guess I'm gona have to a wee bit of grinding before I can take out even the novice BH marks. I'd also like to pick up a few ranger skills... I realise that making my character diverse will severly impact my combat ability and I'll probably never be able to hunt jedi effectively, but I just love the idea of a part ranger part bounty hunter character.

Its dbl xp week, go hunt in a group and get rifles or any other combat skill to help you get your lvl up.
You can max out combat xp in 15 min now, max rifles xp in 20 pistols in 20.
be smart and make use of the system.

I wish there was double xp week when i had to grind investigation hehe... thats really the biggest pain ever!!!

Ok thanks for that. Is there any particular rifle you recommend? By "get rifles" fo you mean get the profession rifleman, or just get bounty hunter rifle skills? So by going out and hunting bols in a group you reckon i can max rifles xp in 20 mins? This has been how ive been getting most of my xp recently and i realise it is quick bt thats super quick!

Rifleman is a good profession to grind investigation with as it has damage and range. Any crappy rifle will do and you only have to hit a bol once to get the full whack of xp.
