Last night I started off the hunt with a successful kill. I figured that was an omen that the night would go well. The next jedi that I pull, that's not on Kash, was out grinding on Dant. I head out there, send out droids, and head over to the WP. He doesn't notice me, and I even ask if I can join his group. He says no, "We're full." I then asked something else to hopefully get him to reply while I attacked. So I KD, Head shot, Body shot and he's down and at 1/2 life. I'm thinking this is going to be an easy kill.
Then suddenly, over his body it starts spaming, "Invalid Target"
WTH?!
Then I get a /tell from him. "I just got back into the positive with XP and I can't lose it. I'm logging onto my alt."
I read somewhere, don't know where, that if you're in combat and log off, your toon stays around for 10 minutes. What happened? Is this an exploit where jedi can just log without consequences?

I've killed quite a few LD jedi lately and i didn't think you could /logout while in combat

If he is able to force an "Invalid Target" message on your screen and keep you from attacking, he is exploiting. I dont know how that is done, but it is in no way intended game design to be able to go into an immunity state while in mid-fight, being able to do so is a bug and therefore doing it on purpose is an exploit.

Good, glad to know that it's not just me. It sure as hell seemed like an exploit.

hmmm perhaps logging completly out of the game is different that just disconnecting that character and loggin in a alt? Dunno, I just killed a LD jedi the other day. I would report it either way...

if you do a /logout it cancels when you get interupted, being attacked used to count as an interuption

i was on a mission the other day my first bh mission and the guy i was after i had actually told him i was coming and to stay there well he took it for granted and didnt run and hide but when i got there he took off for a house i shot him and rooted him so he logged off he went LD and i still was able to kill him and that is what your jedi should have done to so i would definately report it as an exploit because he told you he was doing it so he knew it would happen so something is surely wrong there as for the signing into an alt i have been pvp with some of my friends and they have done that and still went LD so he has found a way to make it to where you cant hit him and im sure if he tells his friends and they tell there friends that soon all jedi will be doing it so report it so that they can take care of it so we dont get ripped of missions when they know they are going to lose
