Regarding the AFK issue everyone is going on about.

I was MBH down in the ryat trials gridinding my FS branches during dbl XP week, always in a group of Jedi. There was perhaps the odd one who went afk for 5 mins, but generally you cant go AFK or you die.

The group constantly shifts it's position depending on group numbers and the spawn area. Occasionally they all spawn at once dishing out some serious damage and an AFK'r would simply die. It's not knights down there with the uber heals, it's paddys, weak paddys.

I grinded solidly 24/7 almost and in all the groups I was in, there was only a few ever afk, and yep, they died, or we moved away from them when the need was there and they got no XP.

/Follow dont work becuase you stop too far from the person your following putting you outside melee range and outside XP.

I also find it a little funny that some people complain about afk jedi, and then complain about them all running to exploit the line of sight bug as soon as a BH shows up. They cant run if they're afk.

TBH I think people just use it to describe anyone grinding on the Ryatt trail as a form of insult, if you're on the Ryatt trail you must be an AFK/exploiter.

Kinda likeJedi, when ever they get killed it's always by a respec noob BH.

Only time I complain is when someone (almost always nonJedi) is camping an area where a component or loot drops that I need and they are AFK. Can be agravating if you can't outdamage them and take their spawn, cause you know their inventory is full they've been doing it all night.

I agree. A great deal of normal players grind in the Ryatt trails aswell.

The main reason for grinding in the Ryatt trail (feral wookie village) is not the fact that BHs have a harder time finding you but rather that the xp is exceptionally good. With a full grp and dancer buff you can get close to 7k xp per wook and with a respawn timer of 3-4min and a total spawn of some 20-30 wooks its a much faster grind then doing lairs.

Secondly there would not be much reason for a full template Jedi to be grinding down there since there is not loot drops of any kind.

Furthermore i think SWG is past the point of BHs keeping the Jedi population in check, i think most ppl in the game has a Jedi account by now. The only way to balance it out is nerfing jedi even more and thus completely screwing over a large portion of the SWG customerbase.

When I've been down there it's mostly Jedi and mostly ATK. You can get a lot more exp a lot quicker grinding bols on Dant, but grinding wookies is pretty much risk free from BHs as you can see them coming a mile off, they've usualy had a good seeing to by the spiders and wooks when they get there and the area itself is confined, which favours the melee jedi as opposed to the ranged BH.

I have seen a few AFK'ers late nigh/early morning on Chimaera but not as many as people seem to think, but this will probaly increase post pub 20 as BHs will now not be able to come down get the names and pick them off the terms and come back for an easy kill, thus reducing the risk of exp loss.

As for BHs keeping the jedi population in check, it was never meant to do this, just to slow the jedi down and to provide PvP content to both.
