I just got done killing a known full template jedi who is an excellent pvper on our server. The terminal listing was for 49,818 and the bonus payout was150,182 for a total of 200k. Is this right? I was under the impression that the payouts were exactly the same as before, they just made up the difference with the bonus. I asssume I should have recieved 226k. Earlier in the day I killed anoob high lvl jedi with much less skill and got a total payout of 223k. How exactlyare payouts figured now?

Thanks,
Eskie

Maybe the "full temp" you killed is in the process of regrinding to switch around some of his skills.

Here I go, trolling again. Take a close look at the patch notes from Tanks' discussion thread (I have not cross-checked them word for word against the real patch notes):

Profession: Bounty Hunter

  • NPC Bounty missions will now work properly. The Mark will be of appropriate difficulty based on the difficulty of the mission
  • Moved Player Bounty Hunting to the Master Bounty Hunter skill Box
  • Jedi missions are only created for online Jedi, the Jedi may go offline after the mission is created
  • Jedi missions display Faction instead of Jedi name
  • Jedi missions all display a payout of a random number between 45000 - 52000 credits on the terminal but may pay a bonus amount based on level and time since the Jedi was last killed
  • Seeker droids will now return the name of the Target You have to use Seek option for the name to be returned.
  • Changed the name of the "imperial probot base" Bounty Hunter droid to “Imperial probot”

Right, now I am not claiming to know how this works...haven't logged on since 20 went live. First, it states that the bonus is paid out based on the last time the jedi was killed, NOT based on the amount of skill points invested (I know it says Level as well, but that could be CL related, which is not the same as SP). An interesting dynamic if this is indeed the case...time will tell how well it plays out. It implies that the new Paddy who hasn't been killed in a long time may be worth a lot, while the full template who got killed yesterday may only give a small bonus. Although it may be implied, it also fails to mention what theymean by "killed". Killed by a BH? Ordinary PvP death? Gurk Gank squad (PvE)? I assume it means BH deathblow, but who knows...might want to ask your next mark when the last time he/she was killed by each of the above methods.

I highlight the other point about the offline Jedi - I know it does not relate to your post, but there is a lot of conversation around this - because the wording is very interesting. "Missions are only created for online Jedi". This could easily be read to mean that the mission is generated on the terminals. Why it should be any other way? Who knows, but I don't program this stuff. Anyway, it then goes on to say that the "jedi may go offline...", but it does not say that the mission is removed from the terminals. I do not know why it would be this way, but who knows what their intention is...but the fact of the matter is, depending on how you choose to read it, the online/offline thing could be intentional.

Just some food for thought, fell free to discuss amongst yourselves.
