Thread: the one that got away :(

Well this afternoon I was hunting a 100k Jedi cuz he was the only one I could find online. I locate him on Corellia and head to Doaba Guerfel and track him. He's out in the middle of no where grinding so i just sit there with me seekers watching him move around the map, I even saw him get chased into a house by some BH a few times. I could tell cuz he's run to the same spot and sit there for 10 min then go back to his grinding spot lol. I even left the house for 30 for nachos and came back and tracked him again and he was grinding still.


Then my luck changed he went into a town near the shuttle port, i thought this was it he would go to a starport and i'd beat him there and BLAM!!!!. but know he went into the cantina in his town for 15 min, then i watched him come out and start back out of town again. I decided this was my move so I jumped to his town and chased him and incapped him really fast. i went to DB but he got up first and i tried to incap again but he was behind a small hill so i got "can't see target". he healed and we had a running fight back to his house 1000m away lol. i knocked him down once almost incapped again but he got inside his house and logged lol. I was mad lol. i bet he had to check his pants lol. All that time grinding was almost taken from him lol.

That's tough luck I suppose but at least you did get a decent shot at him. Personally I find myself comeing upon Jedi who either cloak and then run into a private building or who only grind with private houses less than 100 meters from them.

Can they cloak while fighting?

Yep they sure can. It often happens after the first shot is fired. I believe that they can't do it if you're within 35 meters but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

I was tracking a rebel Jedi and tracked him to naboo - grinding close but not that close to his player city.


So I turned up, used cover then nuts.. his group were heading my way..so placed the target on him and fired but I took out his swoop only. Then the chase began. He used force run and wow...did he move. I leapt onto my trusty speeder to catch up. One of his group mates gave him another speeder, which as I dismounted, I took out...and I was really angry now because the target system just wasnt letting me target the jedi!

He ran off, I chased again but this time thanks to server lag, it took a week just to dismount from my speeder (by now I was cursing) as I waited...and waited for the enter/exit to appear he managed to escape into a building. Naturally I got the tradtional city ban.

Didn't they fix the housing tef? I got attacked by 2 BH's, and all entrances to like cantina and guildhalls and so on showed red. Even asked the BH's afterwards, and they said it was fixed. But your post makes me think otherwise

It can still take some time for your toon to dismount but you dont have to fiddle with the radial...

As long as you dont fight back you shouldnt get tef'ed

I don't believe that this bug was fixed but it's always been a rather finicky bug to reproduce. It appears that sometimesa TEF is generated in the battle but sometimes it isn't.
