None of this post is meant to put myself above anyone here in this community, but I would like to look at what I am seeing a lot of coming back to this game:

I have been gone from SWG for about a year now, but I am slowly trying to make my way back in to the game. Has anyone proven that what Jedi say on their boards directly affects what the Devs put in to updates? If not why waste your energy? I don't mean to insult anyone by posting this, but I am just curious why some people waste their time on what others are saying and not focus on the internal problems (do they exist). Eventually this bounty hunter armor will become a profession reward that bounty hunters will strive for and maybe the bitching will stop. All of the high level loot is a reward, and a possibility to level the playing ground with these guys that spent time grinding their way to uber jedi. When I first joined I spent a lot of time working on my Bounty hunter. I remember dropping 2 skill boxes in Investigation because I was so frustrated with how badly broken the profession was waaay back.

Right now as it stands I have a really crappy internet connection in Iraq (go iraqi internet!) which is just on the cusp of SWG playability. With my Master Bounty Hunter re-activated I tried to take on a mark... Yeah ever remember being so nuberific that you wondered at what point your *** got handed to you?

Holy crap. So as soon as I get Combat Medic mastered, I will move on with my SWG life, and get back to kicking some butt. Anyway, this post has flown all over the place, but the main point I want to emphasize is that we care too much what the jerks in the other forum are talking about. Sure we need to check their forum every once in awhile, but do we really need to post on our board every time one of those guys posts something inflammatory towards bounty hunters?

Just find it sad that little or no bh hunt jedi anymore, simply not worth it anymore. No names and no idea who you are countering. But yes, lets look into our own ranks, complaining is easy.

Btw good luck in the sand, spent 6months there that was enough

It was ok, not complaining, glad it is over though, had 1 day without patrol or missions so the 6 months went on fast, what are you doing down there?

Its called a seeker droid they give u 2 options:

The Targets Name and a WP

or

A constantly updating WP for the Mark.

Dont no whether the Name one is bugged cus i never used it, consantly updating WP is much more useful.

I am aware of the mechanics, been a bh for a while. Not my point, thing is you cant go and find the mission for a jedi playing smartass in theed and you dont know if you are getting a jedi master or a low lvl padawan for a mark. Intel is not used anymore, knowledge of house waypoints. Jedi habbits and so on belongs to the past, now we just follow a wp, my point is that it has been dumped down. Everyone can a bh now, just follow the wp. Furthermore it has rendered hunting jedi on kashyyk even more useless. No more taking names on the track and going to kadaara to get the missions. Jedi has been moved into a position where they have almost 100% peace, and the current npc loot thing is taking it the same direction. Just my 2cent

i believe that this can of worms has been opened may times.

But look, a lot of bounty Hunters are telling their victory stories and those of full temp jedi. My hats off to them all. as you know this game changes a lot. My jedi has been nerfed to heck and back again but still i love the fight a BH brings me (heh heh i lose about half now, not a full temp yet) but have been playing over 2 years. It is to be expected. and a lot of Bounty Hunters have bettered their PvP because of the terms and no names being there. Not knowing who they are fighting makes them prepare for a full temp every mark they get. They expect the worst when they go and do pretty darn well for some.

i would suggest trying it out some more. It will be a bit frustrating at first, like it was for the rest but you will get the hang of it and i feel will better your playing style.

just a jedi's opinion but was not meant to flame.

Agreed on most counts, I have also been around since the walking days. My point still stands though, it has been dumbed down, no more talking to other bh, finding houses and hangouts. Jedi habits and so on. I win some and loose some against full templates, but lets face it. It is not supposed to be that a 1x prof is supposed to go up against a 1.5x profession, it is just the best ones that are able to. I personally have problems with master defenders. Rest I am able to "talk" to. Just saying that few bh will hunt jedi anymore, simply to simplified and boring. But I see where you are coming from, no doubt. I like jedi, it has so much to do with the whole starwars feeling. But there are just to many in my opinion....I just foresee a time where jedi can roam and grind untouched, which will add to the rapid spawn rate of jedi we have allready. I understand that is the future of the game, I just dont like it. But I am pretty sure SOE dont careabout what I like:-)

Agree that Bounty Hunting is just not what it used to be anymore. The patches have really taken the fun and intensity out of the hunt. You're right anyone can do this now, but it is so boring no new prospects are showing up to do it. I"m considering working on an afk Bounty Hunting Macro. I haven't perfected it yet but I"m sure I will be able to put it in action soon. ROFL.

God save Bounty Hunting because the Devs won't!

i agree there are a lot of jedi out there, i am oneof them. i decided to play the game for a year and a half before i took "the plunge" and became one of the many. but I have other reasons for being jedi. the thought of being Uber never crossed my mind and when i thought of becoming a jedi, i thought that the jedi would be as one i have read and have seen. But my clouding on what I wanted them to be became something that they are not. But the fact that I am now a jedi still gives me that small feeling of accomplishment. i hide all the time. I stay awat from public places when i can. and try to live the life of one as i see they should be. hee hee grinding still brings the aabh to visit me and that is fine. that is one thing my guild has never done. we never grinded or did the starport show off thing. we feel that is wrong and we try to be jedi. if we get hunted then we did something to gain us visibility other then looking for it. it makes it that much more fun. i know when a bountyhunter comes for me that i have messed up on vis somewhere (not a starport) but like i had done something against the BH guild or the empire who hates all jedi. thatis what's fun.

the way the terms or now. it seems just as fun now that the BH knows not who he is hunting (jedi know that feeling too) and just makes for a better experience because of the different hunter that come and not the same one who went for me because i was low at the time.
