Thread: Is there a difference in these 2 armor suits? Or should I just look at Energy Resist?

Just curious, I've been looking around for some 8K+ Energy Resist armor lately and found some Ubese that is 8.1K on sale for 3 mill. Now, i jsut ran across some BBF Imperial Faction armor that has 8.3 Energy Resist on all pieces for 2 mill. I'd hate to spend that much cash on armor but it would only be for Jedi hunting so it should last awhile. Want to have it armor break sliced also, not sure how much that would run me though. Anyway, does factional armor work just as good as recon? Is there a difference?

the only difference is you are only supposed to be able to wear factional armor while combatant or special forces.

however, if you go combatant, equip the armor, and go on leave (so a jedi cannot kite you into a factional base), you still are wearing the armor.

whilst not 'game breaking' it may be considered an exploit, because the developers 'intent' was for factional armor to be worn while you are representing your faction.

i love wearing my st armor around tho, and not a single person has ever complained to me about it.

and 8.3, wow, that is nice.

Actually theres another big diffrence. Factional armour has a much higher condition on average than the other armour types out there.

Thanks for the info. Yea, at 8.3 Energy Resist it is hard to pass up. I really don't like the look of Ubese, it is more expensive, and has lower energy resist stats. I am an Imperial BH so I only hunt Rebel Jedi. It's just a personal preference. I think the look might be good. I just want to make sure that is the case before I invest in it. Meaning I go overt then switch back and can still have the armor on.

It is 40K+ condition, and says 'sliced Pre-CU'. Anyone know what 'sliced Pre-CU' means?

im assuming your talkin about ath ubese beeing sliced pre-cu( scout/imp reconcame out post cu )

if this is so that would mean that it was crafted sliced pre-cu and converted once cu went live and unless im sorely mistaken this means you WILL NOT be able to get it armor break sliced

imo go with tah scout armor, good condition great resists(on tah set u have in question)

in the time between CU and the change of the slice system it was possible

to create battle armor with 6392 protec on all stats (sliced 6k base armor)

this armor even caused hinderance if you are a master.

but that times are over and most armor slices are nearly useless now
