jedi marks are different from npc marks. Jedi missions are always player jedi. non jedi missions are always npcs

And Jedi can attack your NPC marks so you better get there before they do.

Oh, if you're in trouble with a boss mark just send a tell to a Jedi for help. The mark will open fire on them after about 3-5 seconds which wil allow for the Jedi to attack back - if you had not attacked it yet the Jedi will also be able to loot it.

Are you kidding? When did they update it so that anyone other then the BH can attack the mark or is it yet another bug?

I am assuming that Tanks has reported this bug.

the new BH npc's will attack anyone including other npc's. A good tactic to use is trying to lead your npc to a nearby faction base. I've had hordes of rebel commandos rip my mark apart fo an easy kill lol

np, always glad to help a fellow bh. Try the tactis i said though. NPC's always, as Eric Cartman would say, "have sand in their vag#$a" and are always pissed off and will either attack or agro almost anything around them. Use that to your advantage.

As touched on above, I've only seen the marks attack rebels. As a rebel Combatant I will get attacked by a mark which allows them to become active and availble for counterattack. I assist ALL guildies doing BH missions by pulling agro and eliminating mark for them - if requested.

My take on this:

I believe this is an underlying feature which is yet to be activated to live servers. The system seems to support a reverse/mark type of system so to as allow NPCs to hunt/attack players. If this is the case then we will soon see NPCs in starports who will open fire open ALL Jedi.

Jedi are outlawed by the Empire and so it should remain. Jedi need to be tef'd when they enter a Main starport while having a lightsaber equiped. There also needs to be a system of random encounters from NPC Bountyhunters to land down with thier ships on top of a Jedi and attack them. This system would also even the playing field for the varrying issues with player charatcer levels.

I so hope SOE pulls their heads out of their asses and implements this feautre...

First...THEY NEED TO FIX THE DAMNED GAME!!! Yes, it's BROKEN!!!

First off, there is a reason why creatures and NPCs attack BH marks and it is because the AI in the game is stupid and the marks use AREA attacks even though they are only attacking one person. That Area attacks aggro's NPC's and / or creatures in the cone.

That is different then other players being able to attack or be attacked by a BH make. You stated that Jedi can attack a Bounty Hunter's mark. Is that true? Can another player attack your mark (or any mark) at any time?

If so, this needs to be fixed.

A mark will agro a creature without the mark being attacked. The mark will ALWAYS agro a Rebel NPC or a Rebel player _REGARDLESS_ of any actions that led up to the NPC mark attacking.

YEs, I can attack NPC BH's marks. I can do so without any relation to the BH with the mission. I can do this at will and on site of said randomly generated mark. If I see one I will always kill it without hesitation for the possiblilty of loot.

I've done this numerous times and assist more then just guildies who need help with a boss. If I see someone in trouble I will lend a hand and if I inadvertantly get loot rights I will ALWAYS give them to the BH regardless of the items looted - unless there's no one around then it's open season.

To clearify you're " why...NPC's attack marks" is based on a counter attack that I have detailed above.

Nah...

The NPC mark is a "white" npc which means they can not be attacked. It's like being on leave and seeing the opposite faction at the startport. You can go up and click on them although there will not be any "HAM"/hitpoints displayed which denotes an attackable target.

The BH marks tend to be upset and nasty little things which like to open fire on anything in their vicinity which even twitches an eye in their direction. /wink
