Thread: Pub 20, My take

I have done a few Jedi missions Post 20 and while not as bad as I orginally though there can be some minor changes.

Now, while it is a lot easier and quicker to get a mission, No more constant refreshes to find a jedi that is online.

Something really needs to be done about off line jedi. I really find it hard to beleive that I will pull 4 missions in a row and the jedi manage to log off in the 45 seconds it took me to grab the mission get the bio sig and launch a seeker. When I load the Mission term or hit refresh button only jedi that are online at the moment should be listed.

Another thing I have noticed. The day of Pub 20 Seeker droids returned the name. Last night they no longer returned the names. Went through 10 droids on seek mode. NO NAME

One more gripe for this post. The no duel for BH/Jedi needs to be fixed. Wedness day I found a full templated jedi in the middle of some GCW(he was a Imp I was a imp) The imps were taking a minor break in the battle my target then ran for no reason(well he Knew i was hunting him because of the no duel expliot. Other wise he wuold have had no reason to run)

P.S I WANT MORE PLAYER MISSIONS THAN JEDI!

a) Blixtev said the issue of offline Jedi showing on terms is currently under SOE QA, might make it into the next hotfix publish
b) Seekers not giving names in "seek" mode is also under investigation according to Blixtev.
c) /duel needs to be fixed, but currently seems to have a very low priority.

Even without theexploit you refer to (which gets worse the more often it gets mentioned in public forums), when a purple or blue dot shows up in a radar full of green dots, what do you expect the alert Jedi in the group to think or do? Please answer honestly

SWG planets are very big. If dots run into me or my group in the wild, I assume it's a BH that's after me, even if there are other Jedi in the group. My own protocol when alerted is to eat all my foods and turn to charge the incoming dot. Most of the time, the BH is after another Jedi in my group, but one day it will be for me. Other Jedi's protocol is to run. So don't be too quick to slag off your mark as an exploiter, because (a) you don't have enough data to be sure, and (b) you certainly don't know enough about how Jedi anticipate and react to BH attacks.

Your point has 1 flaw, while true on endor or maybe grinding on Dant, I found my mark in the middle of a PvP battle(well both sides were taking 5) One should assume I arrived to take part of the battle. By your logice all the jedi that were meditating should have stoped and ran. Only my mark ran, which brings me to the conclusion he used duel and it failed therefore he know I was hunting him.

Concede a and b, however disagree with C. An exploit? This community has to stop using that word for every tactic they don't like. This is simply an alert Jedi. Nowhere in the "supposed rules" does it hint at or say, thata Jedi should stand around with his head up hisarse for the beneifit of a bounty hunter. Change your tactics instead of yelling nerf. My BH alt has craweled 400m undercover to reach his mark. But you want to drive in invisible and unnoticed by everyone without doing any work or planning. Your cover is being detected, and that is not a exploit.

I did not say c) was an exploit. I said it needs to be fixed, though - currently a Jedi can tell if a BH has a mission on him by trying to duel him. BHs are intended to have first strike. If you see a dot on your radar you can do all the preparations you want if you think (or "force sense") it is a BH, but the /duel bug allows you to know it for sure. A Jedi is not supposed to know which others players have missions on him until said players actually fire the first shot.
And just so you can put me into the right group of players: My template currently is Master Rifles / Pistols 0104 / LS 0300 / Enhancer 0002 / Healer 2000 / Novice Force Wielder.

Your exact words: "i was hunting him because of the no duel expliot"

You did indeed call it an exploit and I still disagree with your assertion that a Jedi should have no mechanic for determining if a bounty hunter is after them.

BHs have first strike ability so they can get that 0.5 power that Jedi are supposed to be above them. That is the reason why a Jedi may guess a BH is after him, but never should know it for sure until the BH attacks (or reveals himself in other ways).
